Poor Aaron... Seeing his mom deteriorate is just about the hardest thing to see. I am praying for him and his step dad to get through this difficult time. My husband was adopted by his grandparents. His dad (grandpa) got parkinson's and it was a very hard time for the family. He passed before we met. My dad also passed but from cancer. Their names were Brian and Don so we named our son Braydon to try to incorporate both their names. I hope Aaron can just surround himself with the love of his family
I take care of my aunt who has the start of dementia she still able to stay alone. So I check on her once a week and her sister call her daily and stop by to check on her.and she has no kids so some of us nieces and nephews have stepped up to help.

It's so sad to watch it happen. My mom used to tell me stories about my great grandma being in a nursing home and some of the ladies with dementia would have baby dolls that they would "take care of" or they would fold laundry over and over and that would help calm them or make them feel useful. She would always tell me it was so sweet to watch them with the dolls or when someone would bring in an actual baby or child that they could love on.
I enjoyed your "it's pouring!" comment. I was in LA a few years ago for some training and I had to turn on the windshield wipers once on my rental car. I had it on the "delay" setting where it only swipes once every few seconds. When I got to my training, the instructor mentioned how it was pouring outside. I mentioned how in where I come from we refer to what it was doing as a light drizzle.

A little tip I learned from Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli about making scrambled eggs or omelets. Add just shy of a teaspoon of water per egg along with a quarter teaspoon of low sodium soy sauce per egg. This makes fluffier eggs.

A great omelette that my kids love is to mix salsa into it with cheese. Add bacon pieces, cheese, salt, pepper, little garlic and some onions. They requested it for breakfast, lunch or dinner even snacks they love it so much. Also makes great scrabble eggs on toast with fried ham.
If you really don’t own one crystal. You should get a bubble umbrella. A store in our area told me about them. Especially since I stand outside for the bus. So I ordered one from Amazon. It has been my most favorite.

I learned how to make the Best Omelette. You mix a little bit of water in the eggs, whisk it up good. Then heat the pan with a little bit of butter and a little bit of oil. Then you turn on the broiler so it gets hot. Pour the eggs in the heated pan add Salt & Pepper. A little bit of Chives. Cook the bottom half swirl the uncooked eggs to the sides as it is cooking. Then take the pan and put it in the oven underneath the broiler to finish cooking. We add cheese at this point melt the cheese then pull it out and do the fold as you put it on the plate. They are very light fluffy and delicious.
Never seen anyone not add milk to their eggs for scrambled eggs or for omelettes!?! It would save on so many eggs for such a large family. The trick to make any scrambled eggs or omelettes is "air". Put eggs and milk in a blender or whip them fast by hand with whisk, it will put air in them and bam..... fluffy! And yes, you do need olive oil or butter. Needs some kind of oil so they do not stick!!!

Aaron, I hate to disagree with you, but omelettes should be cooked quickly on a high heat and lightly browned but soft and hardly touched, it should be slightly undercooked. No stirring. My friend is a chef and worked under the best chefs.
