You will be disappointed by assassins blade. Cause I totally agree with you with the first book and assassin's blade Gave me the exact same vibes. I'm hoping people are right and book four is better. I loved ACOTAR and CC so maybe I set myself up for failure on this series after reading those first

COLE! good to know didn’t even think about audiobooks giving pronunciations.
Okay i actually LOVED assassins blade, just finished it, because it filled in so many holes for me to her background. but it is still action, not fantasy for sure. but im really glad i read it before heir of fire bc i would not have wanted to go back in time after heir of fire. i’m currently about 75% of the way through HOF….and girl it’s GOOD we finally get the fantasy weve been waiting for!! feels much more SJM than the first three

@@madelinekateh yes I did like it for that aspect for sure but I'm not a big fan of novelas. ( assasins blade is made up of 5 novelas) Just like the novela in ACOTAR, it held important info but not as exciting of a story. Everyone tells me the next books are where the story gets real good though , so I hope so
