The fact that Dove created nuances for Liv & Maddie that would help differentiate them like what their dominant hand is or Liv's higher pitch voice is just shows how much dedication she had to playing them both.
Honestly, the amount of people who didn’t know Liv and Maddie were both Dove Cameron for the longest time (myself included) just shows how great she performed in the show.

I know. I watched the first few episodes and I’m like… they’re being played by the same person. I thought he would at least guess that they’re twins or sisters but he legit said they can’t even be twins. 😂
So Liv and Maddie ran for four seasons, and no one forget it, people were sad that it's ended because it was the end of an era!
The acoustic version of the theme song you reacted to was actually from the Series Finale of the show, that's why Liv was starting to tear up and hug her sister. It's also meant to be the final song of the show.
So the plot for the Froyo song and Count me in, is that Liv got that agent Becky, who wants her to be like Katy Perry. So she sang this song about Froyo that is meant to serve like an add for the Froyo shop in their town.
The thing is that almost everyone hates it, and so does Liv.
She had to sing it live at the Froyo shop, but she found in Maddie's diary (her twin), a poem about their relationship, and she made a song of it.
This song is Count Me In, and the place where she sang it is the Froyo shop.
There's more to it, but that's a summary of the context for the songs.

Fun Fact: Ryan McCartan who played JD in Heathers: The Musical played a major character in this show, plus he and Dove Cameron briefly were in a band together called The Girl and the Dreamcatcher.
i can't tell if you're deliberately laving out the fact the were an irl couple, but they actually dated. apparently wasn't a great relationship, though, as allegedly ryan was abusive towards dove.

I love how after "FroyoYOLO" Mathew says that the he hopes the episode ends with her performing her own song and everyone loving it more and that episode ends with her performing "Count Me In," which he just reacted to before. I also guess that he was hung up on the song and Dove Cameron plays both Liv and Maddie that he didn't notice the setting of "Count Me In" was the Froyo shop.

Yes, Holden (the guy) was dating Liv's best friend Andy. But at this point he doesn't love her but also doesn't want to hurt her. Him and Liv almost kiss but fortunately Willow (friend and bandmate) saw them and interrupted them. Then Andy walked by and was like "wow guys this is so good you should sing that for the late night show we're invited on". Of course it was a bad idea, and it didn't end well, but what we need to remember is that Liv and Holden were so good together and that we were robbed.
(Honestly Disney made two enormous errors in this show: 1- not making Liv and Holden endgame, even if it's very open and there's hope for them in the future. 2- bringing back Diggie who sucked and making Maddie choosing him instead of Josh, just because the actors were dating at this time.)

If you want more from the guy singing 'True Love', his name is Jordan Fisher. He was also in Teen Beach Movie (with a very small part, so it's understandable that you might've missed him) and he played Evan Hansen for a while in Dear Evan Hansen. His version of 'You Will Be Found' is absolutely beautiful and also very different from Ben Platt's version. I think it really shows his voice very well

@@rocamboleq In any episode where Maddie was under hypnosis, she used an amulet to wish that she was no longer a twin, which resulted in her being a triplet and the new sibling was "Helga", the triplet who bullied the others and was some demon thing with powers.

Don't feel bad. Dove Cameron once dated the actor who played her character's love interest, and hundreds of people took to the internet to chastise her for stealing "her sister's boyfriend".
Jordan and dove did a full version of the song true love and it sounds amazing. When ever you have time to your self I recommend listening to it.

I'm excited about you doing all these disney shows! Now, you've probably gotten this recommendation a bunch of times, but you really need to react to the songs from Austin & Ally! Despite the show itself being a bit cringe sometimes, it has some of the best music on Disney Channel by far in my personal opinion. The songs I would recommend are a million hits, not a love song, you can come to me, I think about you, two in a million, parachute, finally me, steal your heart, don't look down, and redial. I know that's a lot, but they're all SO GOOD.

The context for True Love just kills me everytime I remember it: so yeah, they both have mutual feelings, but Liv (Dove) was afraid of confessing, so when she finally prepared to tell him, her friend - who didn't know about Liv's feelings - asked him out first bc she liked him too. Liv regrets being too late and sings that song at the prom, and it's implied that he realises it's for him. He also likes her, but didn't know it was mutual either when her friend asked him out - that's why he didn't reject to date -, and now regrets it too. Neither of them wants to hurt their friend - still not aware of this whole situation -, so they decide to keep their feelings a secret and stay as friends. Their love story develops later on, getting happier, then heartbreaking, then bittersweet, then hopeful😂

Froyo Yolo was an ad song yes, but its the only song i remembered besides the theme after watching the show bc it was just hilarious. I unironically love it bc of that
yeah, they used a double for scenes where they hug or touch each other - you can tell bc the wig is usually very noticeable and they don't show one of the twins faces, aha. the main plot of the show tends to revolve around their differences - maddie is the sporty, jock twin, liv is the popular famous 'girly' sister (known as the "pretty one"). the first episode starts with liv returning to her hometown from hollywood after filming a tv show/movie (can't quite remember which) and they basically used to be really close but struggle to fall back into their rhythm because it's been so long since they've lived together. they often clash bc their interests are so different but they're still best friends despite it. one of the main themes of the show that they quote several times is "sisters by chance, friends by choice".
it's also worth mentioning, as it got featured in the last clip, the show is done in a mockumentary style with little cut away confessional segments like in the office/parks and rec, where the characters give their internal thoughts. in universe, it's a reality show based around liv's home and family life however this is never revealed until the finale, so for four seasons no one acknowedges the camera crew or anything about the confessionals.
Can’t even blame you for not realizing they were both Dove bc it was a long time before I learned that the girls in the movie The Parent Trap were not played by twins but in fact both played by Lindsey Lohan, which is even worse that I didn’t realize bc even twins don’t have the exact same freckle pattern and she had so many freckles it should have been obvious

If you're talking about Liv and Maddie, he did sing on the fourth season. An acoustic version of "As Long As I Have You". I absolutely love his version, and I think is way superior to the original (but it's been months since I last heard any of them)

When my mom first told me that Dove played both Liv and Maddie (she watched it with me, and realized immediately) I argued for at least 5 minutes because I didn't believe it.
I'm 31 but I started to watch Liv & Maddie in 2020 bc I love Jordan Fisher(the guy singing at the end) & wanted to see him in the show even though I was years late. Such a fun Disney show.

Don’t worry. I watched the entire show and didn’t realize that it was the same actor. To her credit, Dove Cameron does an incredible job of using 2 different character voices for the twins and she really fooled all of us.
I recommend you watch Austin and Ally, its really homie and is a musical show. It follows the partnership between complete opposites - Austin Moon, an extroverted musician/singer, Ally Dawson, a brilliant yet shy songwriter, and their two best friends, Trish De la Rosa and Dez Wade. Austin and Dez "borrow" one of Ally's songs, records it, creates a video and posts it on the Internet, which Austin become a internet sensation. When Trish convinces Ally to tell the world she wrote the song, Austin pleads with her to write another hit for him. Instead, the two combine their talents to create a true musical tour-de-force.

9:15 so, for context, in this episode Liv (the girl singing) was asked to do an advertisement jingle for a froyo company. However, it becomes so popular that people begin to know her as the froyo girl instead of the serious performer, Liv Roonie like she is. Liv begins to really hate the song and feels embarrassed and humiliated when people bring it up. So, then she tries to write an even better song so that people will forget about the froyo thing and see her as her talented self. It's a lot like the Diddlybop episode from Victorious where the characters are asked to pose as a kids music group for a little kid's birthday party, but the song becomes so popular that Andre (who wrote the song) loses a huge opportunity.

I remember binge-watching all of the seasons of this show so many times with my sister when we were younger, I loved this show
In the beginning, I was going to write a comment saying that Dove Cameron plays both Liv and Maddie, but I decided to wait until I finish the video, incase you figured it out during the video, and 5 minutes into the video, the realization was made.
"I wonder what she's singing for" completely misses the giant glowing happy New Years sign in the background
The show is about twins live and Maddie, live is a famous Hollywood star who comes home after her show ends and finds that her relationship with her twin sister Maddy as well as her relationship with her family isn't what she remembers and she has to readjust to normalcy is crazy antics and Sue and a lot of wholesome stuff too.
And then there's people saying that Superman just wearing glasses and another hairstyle is not enough... he had both Live and Maddie on the same shot together and he still couldn't figure it out, something that there's little chances to happen with Clark and Superman if you know what I mean XD

Yes you do. It's Dove Cameron. Both Liv and Maddie are played by her (because yes they are twins). They pull off some fucking magic in this show to have both of them in scenes together, and it's incredible how seamless it is. Like you can rarely tell that there's some fuckery going on.
