  • It seems to be a common problem with this model of tail light when I made the first repair a few years ago the cost was around eight hundred dollars so I hope this will help.

Completed this repair over the weekend. One thing I would recommend is using a 60w soldering iron. I originally bought a kit with a 30w from Walmart and was having no luck getting the solder to stay on my copper. Went and got a 60w and finished both lights in a matter of minutes.

The larger iron would make it easier for sure.

This worked for one of my tail lights. The other only has brake lights working now; still no parking light. Any idea what’s wrong?

Hello, enjoyed your exhaust video on the Duramax. I have the same truck and same issue with lower mpg's than I'd like. Did the 3" MBRP pipe and 4" exhaust help your mpg's at all? I tried to find a followup but didn't see it so thought I'd ask on your most recent video (here).
    Thank you!

How can you tell which LED lights had failed?

The circuit board is cracked which prevents the current flow in this case none of the leds worked

@@mtrunk8570 how did you know where the break was? So how did you know where to cut for the fix?
