  • In this video I put my pricey Dymo thermal printer against the Vevor thermal printer and the results were not what I expected. I use these printers for professional and durable shipping labels and custom business branding on the products I ship out from my business.

We'll never bye any DYMO products again because the newer models do not take 3rd party labels any more.

So no it doesn't use a laser, it uses a small heater that warms the paper that's specially treated to react to heat. If it used a laser it would havr to be marked as such.

Oh wow I didn’t know such a thing was possible that’s honestly more impressive than it being a laser! Now I’ve gotta tear one apart so I can look at the print head. Which should I sacrifice?

Hey@@ChadsCustomCreations I was just wondering the difference between the "All in one" version and the "split" version? The link you provide in this thread is the all in one version but the one you use in the video is the split version. Btw both are 300dpi now so you should probably update your link for the printer used in the video since it's only the 203dpi and at the same price point as the newer version 300dpi. Thank you btw for all the info!

Great no-nonsense, practical comparison. I was curious to see what was the difference between 203 and 300 DPI and you demonstrated it very clearly. The 4XL apparently does 81mm/s vs Vevor's 150mm/s.
