Omg I Made this chili and I mixed the chili with the rice and used it in a burrito, topped of with some irish cheddar and jalapenos and grilled in the oven 😮 this is the best thing i’ve cooked myself ❤
That mashing idea is something that I already do: I whizz up one tin of beans and leave the other tin whole.
For extra smokiness, I add Chipotle chilli flakes along with the smoked paprika: chilli con carne without smoked paprika is like leeks without (a little) butter - unthinkable.

Looks realy yummy! Have to try it. A nice trick i discoverd from some recipes is to put a coffee and some chuncks of dark chocolate in a chilli con carne. Also dark beer can be used. This gives more deepnes and dark flavours. I like it.

Anyone else notice the mistake? Jamie said: “….. it gives the dish LENGTH” when he meant ‘depth’. He said it correctly the second time. Love his cooking - still the most inventive chef around (and doesn’t just copy other chef’s recipes by adding one or two different ingredients!!!).
Length = taste that lingers on the tongue
Depth = length downwards.

I made this today, YUM YUM!!!! I did leave out the tomatoes, as I wanted a more savory dish. It was one of the best things ever!!!!!!! Such depth of flavor. I believe the secret is the balsamic.

This was really nice. Cheap vegetables and sausages, turned into an exotic meal. Unfortunately, I wasn't too good at making the sausage balls and had to remove them from the pan, before I added the other ingredients.

Jamie doesn't put Chile in his Chile con carne. By putting Chile in yours you'd make better undoubtedly.
Chile Con Carne is usually dried chiles, steeped and then pureed and OR dried chili powder. Added to beef then slowly braised. You can use some fresh chiles though. Or make this thing he made that is like something the dog threw up.
