I usually add the reverb to a seperate channel and sidechain the vocals to it so it doesn’t make the lead muddy or takes away from it. I do this with delay, saturation, flanger, chorus etc. as well so you can control how much of it comes through the mix
Everyone's a teacher. You shouldn't just slap on auto tune. EQ is going to vary based on the mic, how it was tracked and the singer. Reverb time and type depends on the song. Please everyone just STOP.
Not saying you are wrong, but for most modern music, specially electronic genres he gave accurate advice. From my perspective all your tips sound very dumb and would not apply to modern music that i produce, listen & mix in current age. I think it's because you probably mix oldschool stuff that is recorded in a room.
@@rola8597 neither of you are wrong and nothing he said was dumb, most things are recorded in a room, whether treated or untreated, most pro recording studios you won’t need to take out as much low end as in the clip I think what dude above is trying to say is stop putting settings your getting from one video on every song thinking it’s going to work, because every genre, every room and every mic and performer is different 🙌🏽
