    I’ve been on the pill for many years and I haven’t had any problems at all. I also got pregnant when we tried shortly after going off of the birth control pill. Being on the pill and skipping my period for a few weeks helps me to avoid the hormonal migraines I am prone to at the beginning of my period.

    Have you tried curling it with the dyson and rolling it up in rollers then letting your hair sit with rollers in while you so your makeup? I don’t use a dyson but that’s what I have to do with a regular iron for it to stay!!

    I always get super emotional during my period. I finally figured out why. I have a condition called PMDD premenstrual dysphoric disorder. So pretty much my hormones make me super moody and reactive. I cut down on sugar and make sure I regular exercise and it’s helped a lot.

    Gretchen, don’t touch your hair or play with the curls for the first 20-30 mins to let it set and then you can run through it with your fingers! Your curls should stay much longer 🙂

  • @doriann1978
    @doriann1978 Před 2 lety +1

    Love watching your CONTENT! With the hair, try using more of the G2B hairspray when your curls are tight and avoid touching your hair. Also, with the dyson, make sure to end each curl with a blast of cold air to set the curl. (You probably know that, but just in case) Since your hair is so long, and heavy as you said, you are literally pulling the curl out. (no shade at all, it’s hard not to touch your hair, especially if it’s long) I’m so excited for the vacation vlogs and of course, more Brody content!

  • @laurenprocunier5809
    @laurenprocunier5809 Před 2 lety +17

    Gretchen! I love my dyson airwrap! I find that my hair holds the perfect loose curly look, if 1 - I put mousse in my hair when it is wet right out of the shower, 2. My hair is about 70% wet, then hold the cold shot option on the curl longer than I would normally think I should at the end. then when finished spray with touch of hair spray.
    I hope that may help!

I changed birth controls to help because I have PMDD, but it didn’t completely fix my problem so I started on a low dose antidepressant to help with it. I would talk to your OBGYN about it because they will be able to help you with what is best for you! Everyone is different. I know for me too I had the same problems before my period that my mom did, so your mom may also have struggled with the same problems too. Also love all of your videos and hope you find a solution! :)

    One of my friends who’s a hair stylist said that another stylist in her salon bought the air wrap to use on her clients andddd she hates it. Everyone teases her cause it takes sooo long to dry and style her clients hair with it. I’d just get a T3 wand or even a regular hot tool curling iron and ditch the air wrap (even though it it was stupid expensive😅). I was going to get it, but since my stylist didn’t advise it I figured it was not worth it. Just my experience though and everyone’s hair texture, length, and thickness is diff!! 🤷🏼‍♀️
