This is the 2nd time i have made this omg it is delicious thank you x
I would SO have added thickened cream to that gravy! OMG, yes. Thank you for this luscious video and best with the family! xx
Excellent job. Will do it exactly that way.
Very nice job. I cant wait to try it, Thanks for sharing.
I’m going try to make that this weekend. It looks absolutely delicious!
Nice job! Looks fantastic
I'm cooking it tonight. Thanks for the recipe!
WoW! that looks SO good!
The "music" is terribly monotonous and too loud. I was very distracted by it. Good presentation, otherwise, and I am going to make this recipe soon.
I thought I was stuck in those CZcams survey ads at the start because that the same music they use
Good Job Abby! Im excited to try your recipe.
Looks delicious. Thanks for sharing
I have used your recipe for " OX CHEEKS" excellent. Thank you.
Regards to you from Scotland.
Hi Abbie, you are so entertaining to watch and I love your detailed recipes ( including getting sentimental over onions 😂)
Good job - love your work 😀 cheers, Paul.
Chef's Tip: Place a damp cloth under your cutting board. It stops it from slipping.
I was just scrolling down to say the same thing. I was cringing when she was cutting that onion!
@@TheCalheart I like to live on the edge...yes I agree damp cloth
Better than a wet towel is a board-sized piece of non-slip fabric, like www.menards.com/main/tools/tool-storage/tool-chests/tool-shop-reg-non-slip-safety-mat-24-x-36/2369998/p-1444428061655.htm. First, because it is used dry, you don't have to place wet material touching the underside of the cutting board, so thin, small wooden boards don't warp from repeated one-sided contact with water. Second, and again because it is used dry, it doesn't eventually dry out during long kitchen sessions and then suddenly slip again after an hour or two of use. Third, one fewer thing to repeatedly launder as it picks up stains, as the non-slip is non-absorbent. If you buy it in a roll you can cut it to exactly fit your needs.
I bought a cutting board at Target it was non-skid it doesn't slide at all it's pretty cool.
Im trying this today 😊
Thank you
Looks great, and thanks to the links you provided, I will try this. I don't like to braise with red wine because my food always turns out darker and less appetizing than in videos. That could just be down to my lighting. I hope you remembered to remove the bay leaves before blending. I made that mistake once. I would have had a perfect dish otherwise.
YES there should be a damp cloth under my cutting board, and yeah I did not have the celery that the recipe calls for but we were just having fun shooting a cooking video seeing if we enjoyed the process. We have since had two kids and will get back to making videos soon.
OMG, that’s lovely 👌👌
very good Recep.
I have the same garlic press: )
coat the meat in flour before you sear. helps create a nice thick gravy when the whole meal is done.
wow that chopping board scene was crazy....
Did this today 👌😋. Great recipe, thanks.
Btw Cab Sav is fine 😝
I use a damp piece of paper towel under the cutting board to keep it from moving, It's dangerous chopping with a sharp knife when your cutting board is moving like that. Also, place your onion in the frig or freezer long enough for it to get nice and cold. Then when you go to slice it, NO TEARS! Still, love the recipe! I'm not a fan of celery anyway, so I could do without it!
Regarding herbs: 1 tablespoon fresh = 1 teaspoon dried, usually. Looks like you reversed the ratio.
I thought she was going to do the DJ Khaled when the 2nd 🌰 flew to the great beyond "another one" 😆 🤣 😂
Going to try this recipe tonight. I'm allergic to wine so can you just add extra stock instead? trying to not screw this up if it's going to take 8 hours.
Hillary Matchen definitely can do that veggie or beef stock would work good luck!
Recipe link doesn't work. What's the full recipe?
🤣😂😁... she goes: "wipe away those tears, it all be worth it".. if you guys don't get it, than you need to hang out with the family a little bit more often
I love Beef & Veal Cheeks but was only able to eat them was at my job at a hotel. So hard to find at a market
Wow :D
молодец
Which appliance are you using there? (I mean, I know it's a slow cooker, but specifically what make/model)
Hey this is the Breville Multi Chef BRC600. Nothing fancy just a very standard slow cooker.
AusMerican Experience maybe you didn't knpw but you can actually saute/sear on the same appliance, no need to do it on the frying pan first. Cheers!
Put a kitchen towel under your cutting board, stops it from moving. Thank you for your recipe.
Get them bubbles! Lol great recipe great vid!
Hannibal Rising...the cook for his uncle's family, now his aunt, says that the cheeks are the best cut in many animals. The young Hannibal makes a stew out of one of the murderers of his sister's cheeks with wild mushrooms.
Identical recipe to this one: www.recipetineats.com/slow-cooker-red-wine-beef-cheeks/
I'm cooking it at the moment!
Seppo in aus!!
i live near sacramento ca and i cant find beef cheeks anywhere, any ideas?
Jac, you might have to go to the supermarkets near the less than affluent neighborhoods, if you know what I mean. Some people just know good food. Otherwise pretty much any butcher shop should have it.
where do you buy beef cheeks from? Publix Grocery store does not know what it is
I would say definitely go to a butcher. Publix probably doesn't carry them because they aren't a typical household meat. I am currently in Australia living and I have to go to the butcher to get them. Maybe call ahead to see if they have them on hand or not. GOOD LUCK! :)
where are you located? generally butchers do not sell beef cheeks due to people not liking the cut because of the name. a wholesale butcher would be more likely to stock the cheeks as they tend to buy full beast. corner butchers tend to buy steak/ roast cuts as they can not afford the cost of lost "scraps"
crystal moyer Walmart has them and with the online "bring to my store" option online it's loads easier.
Lol that’s Barbacoa cook it with beef tongue and it’s delish
😋😎👍🏻
Put a piece of wet paper towel underneath your board for the love of god.
Another good vlog ruined by unnecessary music....just the dialogue needed
That cutting board is sliding everywhere put a damp paper towel under it so you don't get cut.
So much thyme! Looks good otherwise lol
No such thing as Wagu cheek meat. Wagu is lazy cow steaks but cows are always going to chew.
you are awesome, I would say that you need to give up the slow cooker and start on low n slow charcoal or wood burners, then you will be a true ausmerican :)
I think you're right! We've got a charcoal BBQ, it might be time to fire it up!
Please iower your music can't hear you... can't whatch sad.
Your husband needs to think about portion control. He's going to be as big as a house. 🐷
ditch the music, its hard to understand and bhear you
Probably best to have the voiceover at a higher volume than the needless " music"...... I endured 11 seconds....... More than enough.
Неужели есть необходимость так долго обрезать ненужное с мяса, вытирать его, перекладывать с руки на руку и все это на камеру? Нужно уметь "подать" рецепт. Не обижайтесь! Учитесь! ...
Music is irritating
For gosh sakes cut the onion in half and the carrot in 2-3 chunks, add garlic cloves whole! WTF? White girl playing Mexican? Also, when searing, drop it in a hot pan and don’t touch it for two minutes.....moving it around breaks the searing action!
Please stop saying "Cab sav." Don't even say "Cab sauv"; just stop altogether.
well since my aim is to please you specifically no problem sir
@@ausmericanexperience1129 Your sarcasm aside, if you had respect for wine and the winemakers who invest all the labor of their lives to please us all -- often so years after the winemakers themselves have passed -- you wouldn't first mispronounce "Sauvignon" and then tokenize it into a catchphrase. Some people respect wine, so they refer to it with respect and they take umbrage to referring to it trivially.
Stop the music I was loosing interest quick .
Horrenduuusssss music - don’t know why people do this. Recipe prob ok but finding another with less annoying music.
Can that horrible, repetitive "music" be removed? It distracts from your presentation in a bad way.
I tried this recipe several months ago and it's absolutely incredible. One of the best meals I ever had. I incorporated some Herbs De Provence and All Spice and WOW. I'm making it again this weekend and I can't wait!
