I agree the creativity is genius and the first Balmain runway show I enjoyed mainly because there's no instamodels flooding the runway with their tacky walks and mediocre looks.
of course. Think how is amazing take a bus with ...osp.....only limousine for this collection. Skirt with "volants" are not wearable in a normal life. I think that THE BEST COLLECTION is a collection wearable. Not only in special occasion. Well. I love Olivier. But this collection is not his best.

Johnny Gutierrez I couldn't agree more...I kept seeing the word edit in flashing neon lights the whole show through. He has great ideas, but at one point I was seeing, banding, piping, enlarged fishnet, ruffles and cutouts all in one dress. It read a bit inexperienced (though well crafted). It just wasn't up to the usual Balmain standard that Olivier has set for himself.
True. He should've walked out with Natalia, Karolina, and Natasha. It's not that I don't like Alessandra (she's gorge) but it would've been more according to theme.
Now THIS is how you design for millennials! This is FASHION. We don't want cheap, junior Forever 21...we want dynamic, bold and interesting pieces that one can feel good about investing in. This collection was youthful but not immature. I don't know if he just feels empowered by the reputation of his label and how he's been received historically, but Olivier takes some damn chances and they usually pay off. He'c created a signature that's unmistakable but he evolves it through the seasons. He doesn't feel chained to the same silhouettes, techniques or treatments, but when you see his show, without fail, every season, you can say Balmain. Am I someone who would wear any of these clothes? Probably not. Are these pieces what I would call "timeless"? No, they're very NOW. But this collection is a triumph, nonetheless.

I'm blown away! I never expected this collection to be so fantastic! The combination of sequins and other materials along with the cutting to suit many women of different body shapes. Really inspiring me to include a few pow wow outfits into my capsule wardrobe. I wathced this collection 5 times already. Loving it.
The DETAILS! Olivier and his team are forever elevating the house they are representing. The soundtrack - my favorites. The show - - Serving ICONIC Chanel/Versace REALNESS. One of thee best Olivier for Balmain runway shows ever.
And what else is impressive is that this is the one collection where I saw the models genuinely happy and laughing at the end of the show. They look like they also like the collection and respect the designer. Well done on such camaraderie!
Very nice collection! Creative but not over the top. The pieces flow on the body and have nice movement and fluidity. These models were excellent, so many different looks. Love it!
Jesús well I dont see Natasha wear The multi million dollar bra or opening the show when she's doin the VS show.. while Karolina open the show when she was only 16 and a year later she wore the fantasy bra that cost 10.5M and 2006 6.5M. pretty much Gisele and Karolina rules.
Tsai Tsai lol! Well you can tell that to the designers that keep booking Natasha in bluechip ads, the EIC that have booked Natasha in over 55 vogue covers and herself who turned down Victoria Secret. And she’s closing the show, not just a filler.
Jesús well I can't argue w that but wether youre coco for rocha, crazy karlie or nuts about Natasha, there was only one model who deserved model of the year is karolina kurkova back in 2012 and 2002.. two times already bruhhh. And I didnt c Natasha get any award yet..

Well, Saint Laurent by Vaccarello for me is the best. Sexy, but wearable. Only in the final...well, need a van for get around :)

Balmain low-key can be a bit tacky. So many ideas in one outfit. The craftsmanship is beautiful, just needs an editing eye before it hits the runway.
