- 1975 the hard rock band Nazareth with singer Dan McCafferty performed in the Austrian music show Spotlight. It became a legendary concert.
Spotlight was a music show for the youth, which was aired between 1968 and 1978 by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). It was the counterpart to the shows "Beat Club" or "Musikladen" in Germany. - Hudba

Fuckin' right! Hey you ain't drinking with that Whiskey Drinking Woman again are you!? Lol
I absolutely love your attitude, go for it ❤✌️🤘👍😍
I understand and want you to feel good and heal as much as you can with whatever it takes!
I was crazy about this song in the 70's. Now I'm in my 70's & still love it!
Nazareth is one of the most underrated bands ever!
We could be friends. I have cruised many miles with this cranked up on the 8 track player.
Best album ever
I'm 71 and feel the same way. Used to play this in a little band
Мне тоже 70 и до сих пор от неё завожусь!
I feel privileged to have grown up during the 70’s. 🎉🎉
Best music ever
I used to crank this up in my '74 charger...I'm 68 now...good times long gone
R.I.P. Dan McCafferty. One of my favorite singers from the 70s. His vocals on the Hair Of The Dog record are iconic. I'll be crankin that record today in his and Manny Charlton's honor. He will be missed🎵🎤
Nicely said. He'll be missed indeed.
He is my Favorite Singer forever

Love this song 😍✌️🤘😊
Listen carefully, children: T.A.L.E.N.T. without any auto-tune. . .and it's original. . .and it ROCKS
This is lip synched.
No doubt it is lip synced@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR
Yep..lip synced, and instruments are not being played either. This is obviously the studio recording. Sounds identical to it.
And they played actual instruments

Very Good Hard Rock Classic by Nazareth!!!
So handsome the singer 🔥😍
In 1982 I was the stock boy / booze counter at the Copa Club in Toronto when Nazareth played there. .... They came in for a sound check just before I finished my shift and they did this song for an Audience Of One ---- ME! .... I freaked out and danced like a headbanger right in front the stage and they all laughed and thanked me when they were done: THEY thanked ME! How crazy is THAT? ... Needless to say a totally AMAZING day at work!
Oh, so lucky!!!! Nice
@Dion St. Michael right on! .... The first line of the chorus in this song will ALWAYS be the MOST Rockin' line of ALL TIME --- "NOW YOU'RE MESSIN' WITH A .... A SON OF BITCH!" ..... cheers man
that's so kool lucky u
@@lisa-bw9je YES IT WAS!!
That's so awesome! Nazareth had a hit song in 82 with love leeds to madness. I remember seeing it on Much Music, and MTV back then. I'll be in Toronto in September love that city!

Not only could this guy sing but play bagpipes too. Truly amazing singer and will be missed terribly.
Great song
Guitar, bass, drums, and vocals.
Great hook, lyrics, and sound.
Damn, the 70's were the best.
DAN IS NOW ETERNAL.
LONG LIVE ROCK & ROLL.
This song came out when I was a teenager, and i loved it. Now I´m 61 and I still love it!!!!
right on 61 here.
I had a '68 Camaro, 327, 4 speed with an under dash cassette player when this came out. Blew up a few 6x9s with this tune. This and City Boy's debut album. Oh, and Joe Walsh.
This music we change for nigga Rap ...We are crazy .
Cant beat 70's rock.
The audience is too polite! I'm 62 and at that time, I'd be ripping everything up! *MANY* expletives removed from my response because I have grand kids that might trace this back to my ass! :)
No music like this anymore….huge tune during high school
SUCH A GREAT SONG throughout my whole life. I just love Nazareth.

This song a true timeless classic and it was a song that was way ahead of it's time with the lyrics for sure🎉🎉
Man, Dan McCafferty's vocals could peel the paint off the walls (in a good way). People rarely sing rock like this anymore.
He had a voice like no one else. Im jealous. Lol.
Can't play this one loud enuff
Maybe so. But fortunately I know guys in Poland who does. But there are quite uknown. Only local. Nevertheless they dont have a lot of their own music I guess. I always listen to them in Cracow at New days blues pub.
Some guy named Axl Rose tried to replicate him but failed.

The whole album is fantastic.
whiskey drinking woman, rose in the heather......those were the days for R&R, glad I was there.
One classic rock group and one hell of a classic song
LOVE the guitarist's Boone's Farm t-shirt 👌
I was a young kid of 14 and went to a Black Sabbath concert and a band call Nazareth open up and I bought a Nazareth t-shirt lol, that’s what we did then. Loved them and still do
Yeup. I used to save money for a month before a concert just to get a shirt.
Yeah I remember that vividly we always had to have shirt money. Those days were unbelievably fun. Sure do miss those days
We'd pile in the car and go see a show....$6 to get in, three good bands, and $10 for a T shirt....hell yes those were some great times.
Back in the Day the party didn’t start till somebody put on some Nazareth… The Dance Floor would be Rockin’… The Ladies loved this stuff…

One of the most badass songs, ever.
If 'badass' means being dumped over and over again and over again, only to think that it's their problem and not yours.
@@jumpman8282 huh??
@@kevinbreese5739 Seriously, have you read the lyrics?
Ahem, at first I thought it was "the singer" who jumped from relationship to relationship.
On second hand though, it may well be the woman that has a rumor about her having been in a lot of relationships and also breaking them up, and now it's "the singer's" intention to break that habit of hers.
Please excuse me for jumping to conclusions; I haven't heard this song before, it just appeared in my feed and I felt like giving my (drunk) opinion. Again, sorry.

Being able to yell out loud SOB in singalong was such a thrills back then with this song !! ... With Hair of the dog surely allowing us here to repeat it so many times ! What a satisfaction and pleasure it was. Oh my ! Cannot forget it. Now imagine what it was during there live performances... Telling you, we were literately lifting concert halls roof with our chorus of the main lines of that song. Making us here, at least for the time of a song, all very badass... 🤘 🎸 🔥 🦚
A moment of silence for the people still not able to find this song.
They won't find Rainy Day Women or Big Yellow Taxi anytime soon either, poor buggers.

I will say this: every time I hear a song from my teenage years,,, No one that was born in the 90's to this era will ever UNDERSTAND THE REASON that this music is so good, so timeless. Heavy Metal, Hard Rock was pretty much being created and we were there to witness it all! There was so many GREAT bands that actually play/sing give us the VERY BEST music that will ever be created.
I miss the 70's and 80's so much!
Fuck you I'm born in the late 80 and love classic rock
@NMJ
You got THAT right!! I grew up around rockers and had a friggin' blast doing it! For me it started in private school of all places. Guy one year ahead of me was one of the founding members of Suicidal Tendencies. We all did a school talent show and one of the fathers was the makeup guy for the cast of MASH! He did all our makeup which took about an hour each. After all was set, we came out on stage as KISS! I played Peter Criss.🤘
@Sabbath maiden fan I'd say to your teens "WHO PAYS THE BILLS???" LOL
@THE URANIUM CAFE
I understand. Sometimes people with low IQ'S(that means smarts by the way-saved you a Google search-you're welcome) only have little or nothing to say so they typically use only one or two word responses. Unless they get called out, then they "feel" like they have more to say because society will look at it as a sign of "being slammed". Heck, sometimes they're just really really lazy and don't want to type more. Which one are you?
I know, there's a lot of thought provoking involving those big words and all. Give it a moment and let it all sink in. Doubtful Google can help in this case. Unless of course you need help with meaning of words and such but I think I covered that above.👍

R.I.P. Dan McCafferty. - how is this song not up there with the greats! its sooooooo good!
It was the early '80s. We tried to see Nazareth play a club outside of Brampton ON but they wouldn't let us 16 year olds in. Had to be 19 they said. We promised not to drink...so anyway we stood outside the club trying to hear the show. We ended up standing outside their green room watching the band go crazy before the show. The guys were seriously pumped, and sounded great from outside. Totally worth the hypothermia!
Now that's a kick ass memory!! Damn!!! Right on!
