Graffiti tutorial | How to make a shoe polish bottle / kiwi mop marker

- mop markers in general are just about personal preference, all you basically need to do to "make" a mop is take whatever originally in there out and refill with ink/paint! Like i said taking the flow restrictor out is optional and so is taking the sticker/labels off, along with a tonne of other things!

These actually started out by the kids in New York that polished shoes. After their "shift" they would actually use the polish bottles (with shoe polish in it) to get up. Then as graffiti advanced people took the idea and added ink to the shoe polish bottles. A little history lesson for ya ;)

Facts. As teens in the 70’s we used black board eraser stolen from school. We cut it up and filled the bottle, then added the ink. We then used a large piece of the eraser as the tip. Wrapped the entire thing with black tape. My tag back the was SKY 1. I chose that name came from me being a big NY Mets fan, and my favorite player was Dave Kingman who’s nickname was Sky King, because he hit really high home runs. Sky King was to long. I went with Sky 1. 70’s Brooklyn Rocked. You had to be there to understand.
I higly suggest keeping the flow valve because if you don't and accidentally put the mop upside down in your bag or whatever it will make a huge mess

naw with the shoe polish I just take some scissors and make it into a little ball and make it shorter so it stays in place so my tag don't look stupid
