Can a Brand New Alpha Clone Do Insurgency? || EVE Online

As hinted at in a previous podcast episode, Crovan has rolled up a new Alpha alt with the goal of joining the Malakim Fanatics and participating in Pirate Insurgencies. Alphas can do many things in EVE Online, but can they jump straight into high-stakes PvE and PvP without support? We'll find out! I got an Alpha toon I created just for this very thing when it was new. Its very doable. From a PVE point of view, Cats/Corms can run a lot of them sites for LP. From a PVP point of view, well, pick your targets well or gtfo. Probably one of the most profitable activities is looting still. I got a cheap ship I use to ninja clean up that has made me a lot of money in the early days when PVP was rampant with the new Insurgency thing. Now, Angles for the most part are just farmers. The militia do their own thing now. The whole thing is kinda stale in my opinion.
If I were to rant on it, I think the Pirate FW should have some goal outside of running sites like a benefit to taking out Player Owned Structures. The ability to turn High Sec into Low Sec for a while combined with some bubble tech, would go well if we can reduce the timers on Citadels. It should be 'quicker' for Pirates to do damage, it should mean they are a threat that people rally up to defend against. But none of that is true, its just a new Farming thing in Eve.
For what its worth, Its better having Insurgencies in the game then not, but I just wish they were threatening and were a significant threat to all of New Eden. But you know, those nerds with 5 alt algos need to make money too I guess.
