  • Well folks, it's time to break out the gold RailroadRoman font once again. On the weekend of August 22nd and 23rd, 2015, Norfolk Southern and the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society teamed up to host 'The Lehigh Gorge Special' excursion. Said excursion ran from Allentown (Bethlehem in reality) to Pittston and return. Powering the train was Nickel Plate Road 2-8-4 'Berkshire' #765. In this video, we'll chase the famous 765 from just north of Allentown to just south of Pittston and return. All clips were shot on August 22nd. I will be the first to tell you that some of these shots were not the best, as many chaser's plans for a chase route were altered or even halted by the waves of traffic as dozens of railfans attempted to make it through the small towns of the Lehigh Valley. I took what shots I could get in certain cases, and others were planned and somehow I made them happen. With that being said, I hope you still enjoy the show, and I look forward to chasing this locomotive one more time this year as it pulls trips at Steamtown!
