- The only way to learn the Tarot - if you want to get beyond the beginner stage - is to use the cards to explain themselves. All is revealed in this 11 minute 29 second video. This is a big claim, I know, but it's an interesting video.
@AltheaNokomis I think the questions in themselves are well-formed and worth asking. I also think three cards a day is too many because you are going too fast, especially if you do this every day, or most days. You may get a wide understanding, which can be good. I like to go for depth, so I'd pick one card and keep it in mind until I learned something important. With the card in mind, look around at your world, your thoughts, the news, everywhere - see what insights you have.
you are very unique!! Love your explanations..so different from any other!
great work you do!
thank you.
I love your demonstration of types of learning and the differences. ❤

3:41 "And together the 'J' & 'B' stand for John Ballentrae!" Brilliant!
5:08 First time I'm hearing this concept! 40+ years of studying the Tarot . . . Thx!
I like that you inspired me to look deeper into the artwork for direction I.E. the hanged man going deeper

I do really enjoy your tarot instructions, thanks.
excellent and wise
thank you ... exciting to find you!
Can I apply these methods of understanding the tarot through the images with the Thoth deck? I'm a beginner & was called by the thoth deck even though it was highly not recommended for me to learn from as my first deck the connection I had with the deck was one I couldn't ignor. I am really interested & fascinated by this video. I own a lot of decks & recently been working with the RW & the Celtic Cross spread which seemed really easy to read next to the spread I started with from the simple 3 card spread to the Opening Of The Key spread, so coming from that spread to the Celtic Cross I picked up on it really fast, but doesnt mean I understand it like you were saying.
Thank you John, very helpful.
Soo brilliant ☀☀☀
GREAT explanation!!
@SingedMomma Very good. Glad you're enjoying the videos.
Serious question here - Do the pages really come after the Knights? I thought you would relate Justice to the Pages and and The Hanged Man to Knights? I realize I might be going wide and not deep here but I genuinely want to understand if I have been ordering my court cards incorrectly.
I would like to know the same from this point of view?
This is a different order, and I've asked him to to go further into this, but I get it: after the Xs come 11, 12, 13, 14 ... 9:20
@@portlandtarot1446 I get that, but then the page would be 11, not 12 (hanged man). I think I will ask him, because the idea is interesting.
@@mariaangueirabarrio8312 No . . . KNIGHTS are 11! Lmao, ask him! I know, it's hard to wrap my mind around it . . . Pages are 12, Kings are 13, and Queens 15 . . . I think it's a method of changing ones "everyday" seasoned Tarot thinking . . .
@@portlandtarot1446 oops I missed/forgot that from the video, thanks!
John I am interested to hear your Podcasts where do I find them ?
John, as a daily reading, I like to draw three cards while thinking/saying out loud:
What can I learn from yesterday? (past) What will my experience be today? (Present) and What are my possibilities of tomorrow? (Future)
Are they "sound" questions?
Omg love that idea. Thanks 😁
The more l see your videos ,the more l am convinced that J & B indeed do stand for John Ballantrae :)
Boaz is strength and Jachin; he will establish
But wouldn't Pages be 11 (related to Justice, not the Hanged Man), Knights be 12, Queens be 13 and Kings 14?
Why isn't the page the 11th, the knight 12th, queen 13th, and king 14th?
"The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate...
Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope.
Yes, the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed..."
is this guy serious ?
