I can't believe it has already been 2 years since you bought that magnificent mirror!!😮 Girl, I've been following you for so long, and I love seeing your happy face every week!!❤😊 And all of the beautiful pieces you score!! ✌️💗
An addition to the linens is also be on the lookout for drapery!! New drapes are so expensive and you can thrift some great ones! Just know your measurements and be willing to make some alterations if needed.
Thrift a beautiful vase, put flowers in it then give it to someone. The idea is for the person to then pass the vase onto another person. The problem I run into is that people end up liking the vases and keeping them.....
I saw your cushion mirror on a blog Bourdeaux Life. Exactly like your mirror priced at over 900 euros😊 and a chandelier very like the one you got at same sale, big pear shaped Crystal's and little crystal flowers priced over 1000 euros at a very expensive antique a brocante, I Bordeaux, France!
Any day CZcams has a new Vintage Bombshell video is a good day!!!! That dress is gorgeous and as always, you look lovely in it. Great tips for beginners, and so enjoyable to see little vignettes of your decorating style around your house and garden. You've created a masterpiece in your home and garden. Thanks so much for sharing and bringing me once again to a lovely interlude in my day. Can't wait for your garden tour!
I have been watching you for along time your house looks really expensive furnished. I know if you are looking for something you take your time untill you find it instead of just taking anything and that is a good thing.Your house is beautiful.
This vlog is a treasure for sure! I look for high-end faux florals at thrift stores, esp. at Goodwill. I collect tall white orchids and once they are placed in a beautiful Asian planter, they really fool the eye. Some of them even have waxed, wired leaves that easily pass for the real thing.
Glad to see your new video. I love your videos with you and your mom thrifting. You are one of my new favorites. I just love your house. So glad you're healthy now.
Selena I would love to know your thoughts about the overwhelming influx of resellers now plaguing goodwill and other second hand locations? I’ve been thrifting for 30 years and always enjoyed it. Now resellers are descending like locusts and swooping up two and three cartfuls of stuff in one visit and they push people out of their way (literally and physically) to snatch anything they think the can make $1 on! It has made a once enjoyable experience so horrible!
Selena, I always look for vintage needlepoint pillows, as long as they are in great shape, of course don’t have an odor. Vintage silver plate is always Fun to grab at my GW on Sunday Dollar Days, then I come home and repurpose it. Vintage Tole wear Italian/French sconces end up in my cart, with vintage tassels and brass /glass curtain tie backs. One of the rules I live by, if I find an upgrade of an item, or the piece does not bring me joy anymore, I will put it on MP or donate it, to bring joy in someone’s environment. Have a wonderful week,❤️💃❤️
Love love love your videos and you Selena...I've recently had surgery since the house fire, I lost half of my foot it just wouldn't heal, I'm hopping around better and making the best of life!!! Without your help back then we never woud have my ade it through...god bless you be and the as nk you be for your kindness back then...all our love Marilesa and Frank
Wow you look gorgeous in that blue dress 💙💙💙 you always get the best finds hun much loves iam also so happy for you nearly at 100k!! I've been watching for awhile and no one deserves it more hun I love your videos ❤❤❤🙏
I love love videos of yours just like this one.And watching your videos is like sitting in your thrift and decorate classroom.😁 I have learned so much about vintage and antiques. So just want to send you a hugh thank you and lots of love.More of this type of videos would be awesome.Keep up the amazing videos,.😀👍 Thank you..🦋💐🦋
I'm only sorry I didn't start thrifting sooner! I started 6 yrs ago bc I wanted to collect milk glass. Now my home has all sorts of amazing antique/vintage goodies that I wouldn't have been able to pay full price for. Plus the thrill of the hunt is always the best! 😉
Madonna Inn is a great place to stay. My husband (RIP JIMMY) and I stayed there in the "Flintstone" room with walks of rock and a fun rock shower. All rooms have a theme...from a golfing room to a horsey room with bales of hay. Reservations might take up to a year...so make one now. P.S. I was there years ago and I imagine the rooms have changed ...but it's a beautiful place on the California coast. Love watching you and Pete and your mom (my secret thrifting twin - bell bottoms, Johnny Was tops and anything "hippie"....especially if one was a "real" hippie back then ... like me and your mom!!!
Girl, your necklace you have on it is so beautiful 😍 I loved vintage, and you are awesome in giving us pointers. I have found beautiful things because of you. Thanks for always sharing😊and teaching us new things.
I had to comment at 4:37 as I need to do errands and I will finish the video later. Selena you look radiant and I love your new introduction. Love the new bed. Later ……..❤
What a fun video to watch! I am 73 years old and have been thrifting and buying second-hand since my college days, 50 years ago!! I still have a few items from those early days and they bring back some wonderful memories of where I purchased them. At this point in my life, I'm not collecting that much but I do look for practical items to thrift. I would add to your list with baskets, craft supplies and holiday decorations.
Yes to vases, I collect them and have found gorgeous ones at thrift stores and flea markets. I keep telling myself "you have enough" but like you said, once you start, you can't stop! Can't wait to see your garden. You look lovely as ever!
I will add some, selena. BOOKS: I love the smell of old books. I m still a bookworm in 2023 CLOTHES: I love vintage clothing, specoally from the 70 s So jealous of your kimono s and your mom s cool clothes FURNITURE: I m still on the hunt for a hutch. I sleep in a 60 s bed BOOTS: I love cowboyboots HATS AND PURSES: I love hats of all sorts and love to find good purses JEWLERY: I love to find jewlery with semi presious and prescious stones DOLLS AND TEDDIES: my biggest collection BRASS and ART: Found 2 big floral artpieces and scored a Brass mantel trio
You look so tan this summer! I don’t know how you can have such a beautiful tan & glowing & healthy skin at the same time. The older I get, the less I tan evenly & all it does is dry up my skin. Enjoy your youth while you can 😊🫶. Great video, too (as always!:)❤ Edit- Yes! You & Pete have to take a visit to The Madonna Inn! I’ve stayed there a couple of times & it’s gorgeous! 😊
I've never paid retail for a picture frame. I'm a crafter and always find beautiful frames for the needlework and mosaic pieces that I make at thrift stores or garage sales at a fraction of retail price.
I've only done it twice, for two rare posters that had irregular sizes. After years of searching, I had to bite the bullet and order them online. I was tired of not being able to display my art! But the price tag was painful 😂
I look for iron or metal yard art. Old metal gates or barn hinges. I am in the process of fencing in a small area of my yard to have like a secret garden. Using a heavy metal gate I have had for years and some other metal items. Super excited. Broken mirrors or dishes you can make mosaic table tops or make a mosaic on old flower pots. Use big broken pieces of thick mirror leaned up against a fence to reflect the back of a rose bush. Thanks Selena and oh yes I was at that huge neighbor garage sale when you bought the mirror on the floor. Well not there actually. ha ha
I've been following you for a while here& IG, love your happy sweet upbeat vibe, you're beautiful & such a joy to watch every video. I so agree on all the treasures as I call them lol.
10 items I need to thrift? I perceived that title differently. Money, patience, good music, a discerning eye, my hands to feel for damages, a vehicle big enough to hold a chair (at least), a shopping cart, a good attitude, comfortable shoes, and no where else to be. ❤
I am pretty new to your vlogs but I just love you and what you present. I look forward to new ones and also go back and watch old ones. I love your home.
I love your bedroom lamps, the tall cherub lamp, and the onyx lamp. I'm with you, the weirder, the better. Also, I love your naked lady painting. The colors are lovely.
I can relate as I am linen obsessed! Just recently found, as you would say, DREAMY crocheted white bed spread. It had the label of the person that made it, and all I thought was how many hours of love went into making this masterpiece. For $6 dollars, yes, please. ❤🎉😊
@nickyonstilts128 perhaps you can use it folded as a bed complement. They look quite nice and don't have to match, just as an accent since ecru is neutral. 🩷
I bough an antique roll top desk and I use it as a vanity table. It’s great. On the top I have a Bronze statue and a Hugh Murano Vase both bought at an antique shop.
Curtains. I got my beautiful bedroom curtains for $3 at Goodwill. They look brand new. I also got heavy "blackout" curtains for our Arcadia door, they are great for keeping the downstairs cooler here in the afternoon when the sun is hitting the back of the house (in AZ).

Selena this was great information. I worked a little job after retiring at a consignment store. I love shabby chic and boy did I find a lot of goodies. And also stuff to use for my handmade crafts….😊
Thrift items like sewing machines. I purchased an old Singer straight stitch machine that is heavy duty and will sew fine, delicate fabrics up to leather & canvas items. It came in a beautiful cabinet all for $35. dollars. I had to clean it up a little & oil the moving parts as it had not been used in years. This machine is 100 years old but looks and sews like new. It's a beautiful work of art.💖. Also, I Thrifted an older record player/radio console. For $30 dollars. I also Thrifted beautiful record albums. I really enjoy listening to these to relax and push away the cahos of the world. 💕 Most of these are $1-2 dollars each.
I love your videos. I totally agree about buying end tables from Goodwill stores, garage sales, etc. you can do anything with them that you want, or leave them alone. The dress you are wearing is so cute. Keep sending your videos.
One thing you could have added to your list is Vintage Christmas Decorations, which you have some beautiful ones. I too am a long time subscriber. Love your show.
Yvette here, I am back. Wonderful video; great tips for getting everything you want thrifting and I also love that you made a list! Your home looks beautiful and looking forward to the garden tour. 😊
Selina wonderful video…so lovely to see all your finds…I have been following you since you started and I can pinpoint them all keep well god bless👍❤️🙏from Eileen from Northamptonshire UK
I absolutely love your house and your style BUT the naked lady!!! I wouldn’t let anyone in my door, lol. If anything it should be in a bedroom. Just me!
That mirror in your DR is everything Selena....I just can't believe you actually stumbled upon it (literally, really!). The smaller one is amazing too; I can see the beveled mirror is original to the frame. I'm so jealous, there's nothing going on in my area re: garage, estate sales and my Goodwill/Salvation Army stores don't have anything worth buying. Great finds! Thank you.
Hi Selena you look so pretty in that blue dress, suits you. I love your videos, and what great things to look out for. Linens are my favourite, and crochet from many years ago. My grandson can crochet beautifully and he is only 11yrs. Your home Selena is a credit to you, it's beautiful, and romantic. I can't wait to see your garden tour, l remember when you got those roses, and you were planting them. Thanks Selena much love.❤❤
I love french country style decor, but would add in some of the mirror types you showed here... currently bidding on one now. Love your style and the only thing new I will buy again, will be a new mattress
I love your style, your finds, everything! In trying to add to your list of thrift, some other items I look for…sterling anything including monogrammed items, small needlepoint rugs that can be cleaned, quilts, antique garden tools, baskets, antique books, old suitcases in good shape (for decorating and storage) and cake stands to name a few!
Candle sticks. Also antique books I collect. Vintage clothing and purses. Crystal. For myself I go to a least four thrift stores a week. Love the hunt. Thanks like always sharing your ideas about thrifting. You're home is so beautiful.
Oh Selena!! What an awesome video of your beautiful finds.....especially the mirrors!!! The artwork is amazing too. Thanks for all of the great tips. You're a sweetheart.
WOW! YOU HAVE AN AMAZING VOICE among all your other talents. I watched the short of you singing and you need to make more videos of you singing your voice is wonderful. Thank you for sharing all your amazing gifts.
Just picked up a sturdy wrought iron vanity bench with tapestry seat yesterday from thrifting. Picked up for $14.99 and similar ones range from $400-$1600. Also, went to an estate sale (last day) yesterday and picked up 3 boxes full of crystal candy dishes, glasses, bowels etc. for free. Love your bedroom lamps and end tables.
Love your videos, Selena and I really remember you & Pete finding that gorgeous mirror! Hauling it home in one piece..Look forward to your garden video and thanks for all the great ideas!!💕
This was so much fun ,listening to your thrifting tips! You have most definitely turned me into a mirror, lamp, linen and glassware junkie😂 my husband thanks you 😂😂😂😂 thanks for sharing ❤
This is such a great list! I am definitely on the lookout for one of those pretty 1920s pink fringe lamps. I just love how cozy and chic they look at nighttime. 💖😊 All of your mirrors are amazing and I think it’s such a great idea how you hung your art with the gold clips. 💕💕💕
I just love your thrifting videos, love your sense of humor... I started out looking for terra cotta and now have a hugh collection plus all the other garden decor and wicker, my house has more thrifted than new retail bought. Thanks for sharing
Why would anyone buy new when there are so many beautiful old items floating around,in all styles! Probably made better also.💗
Exactly!!!! Made way better!!
This was such a wonderful video with great advice! ❤
I can't believe it has already been 2 years since you bought that magnificent mirror!!😮 Girl, I've been following you for so long, and I love seeing your happy face every week!!❤😊 And all of the beautiful pieces you score!! ✌️💗

I could be the teachers helper! My whole house is thrifted. It looks like a cozy museum 😊 I love your style, Selena 🩷
Yes about art work. I found a large painting at a Goodwill came home a looked up the artist to find it was $1500. And I paid $30.
Thrift a beautiful vase, put flowers in it then give it to someone. The idea is for the person to then pass the vase onto another person. The problem I run into is that people end up liking the vases and keeping them.....

I saw a box fan covered with a shabby chic country white frame. What a cute idea.

I am pretty new to your vlogs but I just love you and what you present. I look forward to new ones and also go back and watch old ones. I love your home.
Every thing you touch is magical ❤ Could you do the same video but for vintage clothing?
This list is so on point for home decor! Why shop new when there are tremendous items out there to find ❤❤❤
Speaking of linens I found a gorgeous cotton shower curtain for $3 it has set the style for my bathroom with its peach color flamingos and palm trees.
My grandmother made me a crochet one but it's ecru so I never use it. But I wouldn't give it away.
@nickyonstilts128 perhaps you can use it folded as a bed complement. They look quite nice and don't have to match, just as an accent since ecru is neutral. 🩷
@@Melpomenes17 Thanks that is a great idea. I think she made it full size too, so folded at edge it won't matter.
I love all your beautiful thrifted finds! Thrifting is so much fun, because you never know what treasures await you.🤍⚜️🦢

Hi Selena, your garden is BEAUTIFUL, LOVE, BEAUTIFUL home,❤
This is such a great list! I am definitely on the lookout for one of those pretty 1920s pink fringe lamps. I just love how cozy and chic they look at nighttime. 💖😊 All of your mirrors are amazing and I think it’s such a great idea how you hung your art with the gold clips. 💕💕💕
Thanks so much! Oh I hope you find one soon. They sure look magical at night time :)
I just love your thrifting videos, love your sense of humor... I started out looking for terra cotta and now have a hugh collection plus all the other garden decor and wicker, my house has more thrifted than new retail bought. Thanks for sharing
I too have furnished most of my home with thrifted items. Your list is spot on! I would also add clothing and pocketbooks.
👵💜 you look so beautiful today. I grew up with all the old linens and they were always white..I also.decorated my.first kitchen with goblets.
