BBB had no chance from the start because of the name. They probably tried to tell Lavar it was corny AF but he wouldn’t listen.

The only thing I remember was people buying shirts as they wanted to commemorate how this was gonna crash and burn. All the clout was from trolls.
Great idea that was poorly executed. They needed to slow down and work on testing & development of the shoe. Very expensive to do, but it was critical that the 1st shoe was ready for prime time. He would have done better to partnering with a major manufacturer until they mastered the business.
Yeah it was a great idea to come in the league with your own brand. It never had a chance though because of the name. Nobody around him could tell him?
@@justmyopinion8395 the name was corny. Has a 90’s vibe, but could have worked if the shoe was right and they landed some more endorsements. I actually like the style of the first shoe, but it had poor construction. I think LaMelo designed some wild cool shoes for BBB. This really could have worked and completely changed the game.
💯. Definitely had a chance. The reality is though, with the kind of money the bros were/are making, better to diversify and invest in non retail portfolio. Starting a retail line is like opening a restaurant, juice not worth the squeeze unless design is your passion, which it wasn’t for them.

Lavar was on Ball In the Family show last Sunday's episode (February 1, 2020) telling Zo they all need to pool their money together and keep BBB going. Zo looked at him like he was crazy. I"m hoping Melo goes his own way. Lavar really was mean spirited to his youngest kid on the JBA, JBA USA, and Ball In the Family reality shows. Melo grown now. I hope he just pays Jermaine Jackson to be his manager and trainer and signs with some other shoe company. As many peole have said time and time again, Lavar want his kids money. It's proof off last week's Ball In the Family episode. I think Lavar is spending the kids money and keeping his stashed. Nobody in their right mind buys a $50,000 chandelier with BBB on it. Then all of a sudden not only are bill collectors claiming Lavar did not pay them; some JBA players saying they were unpaid, customers saying they never received their BBB merchandise, AND $1.5 million of Zo money just mysteriously "disappears". Some of it may be Alan Foster; but I am very suspicious that Lavar had his hand in the 'cookie jar', so to speak. That's why I really wish Melo goes his own way. I'd like to see the kid stay happy as he enters the NBA...
