I was headhunted to appear on the show. I am a magician. I showed them magic, and a few days before the broadcast they insisted I switch to ventriloquism. Foolishly I agreed, and they crucified me on the live show. Had I done the magic they had seen initially, I would have done far better. But I realized too late I was one of the sacrificial lambs brought on to be made look bad. It is a very manipulative program.

This is Simon's show we are talking about. It's 100% fixed. Because if you watch any show he has been on. If someone cries or has some random sad backstory they are going through. Even other "TALENT" shows do the exact same thing. People with very little talent will win, while others with amazing talent will magically lose do to "Voting". It's all about the $$$ the worst the artist the more they are dependent on you the less chances of them trying to break away.

My friend auditioned for American Idol once but it was like this, she went in front of a different crew and was told she has work to do and turned down before she even got to see the famous judges. I had an idea that they did this but it's interesting to see an actual video of the process. It is sad though that they pick specific horrible acts to entertain an audience, those people have to be absolutely heart broken after that.

I think you either have to be really talented or average talent with a good story. Many of the finalists actually are quite talented and don't have the sob-story/surprise/patriotic stuff going on.

Point is he wasn't doing it in a serious way, whereas the judges and contestants all take it so seriously, this shows how it really is a sham and a joke that someone could throw a bunch of cliches at them and basically a novelty act and get that far with it, if they hadn't rumbled him it would have gone on seriously until he ripped the beard off and said "Only Joking Guys" but of course they wouldn't have admitted all the things he prooved, they would have spun it saying "He DENIED a genuine contestant their dream" (Translation you denied us the opportunity to take advantage of a foolish person who actually thinks this is real and in their best interests)

His rap was awful. Period. He actually TRIED to sound bad and was praised for it. He is way smarter than to use the flawed cadence and emphasis on certain syllables that you saw. He did that intentionally, yet was praised for it because the judges senses a good sell. The judges know his song sucked, but they disregarded taste in order satisfy the contemptibly formulaic behavior of the audience.
