  • A Virtual Talk by Dr Ted Coles
In this talk, Dr Ted Coles will tell the story of the super-secure cipher machine that was developed by Nazi Germany during WWII, used for sending long telegrams between German High Command and the Generals at the Army group HQs in occupied Europe and North Africa. This machine and its traffic were codenamed “Tunny” and “Fish”.

Awful audio, why couldn't the speaker have recorded clean sound at his end?

You have obviously gone to enormous effort to research and produce a first class video. Then spoil it all by terrible sound that appears to have been recorded inside a dog kennel

Sorry the audio isn't up to our usual standards. This was a Zoom recording from a laptop. Next time we'll be sure to send the TNMOC OB truck to Ted's house and get him mic'd up properly!

Thank you for the reply. I would love to see your work attract a larger audience. I was in B.P last Jan but unfortunately the National museum of computing was closed during my visit which was a bit disappointing, but I will go again. Any chance this video could be dubbed over as it was well worth watching.
