Josephine: A Fiery Personality

On April 10, 1945, while escorting a massive bombing raid towards Berlin, Lt. Joseph Peterburs of the 55th Fighter Wing, 20th Fighter Group encountered a Messerschmitt Me 262. The enemy attacked the bomber formation and shot down four aircraft before Joe, from his altitude advantage, pounced on the unsuspecting jet fighter. After a short engagement the Schwalbe limped away into cloud cover, blazing from the wing and engine, where its pilot - the famed German flying ace Walther Schuck, - was forced to bail.
We commemorate that deed by introducing the North American P-51D Josephine - named after Joe Peterburs' fiancée - to World of Warplanes. Its fiery personality can definitely bring its pilots to many feats of glory!

I was close friends with Mr. Peterburs son Rick, who sadly passed away before his father from cancer many years ago. He used to talk about his dads exploits, long before the public knew of him. His son was a good friend and was an avid collector of Mosin Nagant rifles.

I used to love this game, I only quit as there was a problem with the economy system, I kept loosing a lot of credits every game, as I didn't have premium account, I will give it another try though.

I loved how this game was more action orientated than sone others, you were in the fight in just a few seconds, certain other games, you spend 90% of the time just flying from point a to point b, to get desyroyed by a single cannon hit. . . WoWP was so much more fun, the biplanes at the lower levers are just really entertaining. . I just loved pretending to be recreating the Red Baron battles.
