Poonamji , Thanks for sharing this precious video with us. Ustad Rashid Khan Saab had unparalleled voice. Whenever I listen to him , his heavenly voice takes me to the world of tranquility. I had a dream to attend his concert in Toronto. My dream remains unfulfilled. May Allah grant him in the highest place in Jannah and give enough mental strength to his family to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen

For NRIs like me, who even was born abroad, those are precious moments, in fact, more than a gem!
since the blood is indian, and indian blood has a special musical cell also which keeps tringaring every now n then.
Rashid Khan Sahb is my all time the only inspiration and stream, through which I can not only enjoy but also come close and understand Indian classic music.
I never lived in India, but I love Indian music so much,
especially classic music. In 1987 the great Maestro Naushad Ali visited our country,
we had a beautiful get-together with him, I sang a Mohd Rafi ji song, and he was very happy,
and he commented so nicely on my song, I am still keeping those precious words.
for me, those words are more precious than any Grammy award or so.
Very rare film celebrities do such an honor to a singer. This is Art. It may have many forms but if the Artists are genuine and pure then this kind of association forms. Kudos to Poonamji. And yes we lost another gem of the Indian Music Industry. But to me Legend Never Dies. He will be alive for his stunning efficacy as an Artist and will live in our heart forever.

Now in my sixties suddenly I found your post sharing a special moment with Rashidji, our another heartthrob in this age. I am overwhelmed speechless with this divine voice.
