- Parents will do anything for their kids, but sometimes they goes too far. A dad, who happened to be a police officer, pulled over a vehicle his daughter and her boyfriend were in. Actress Felicity Hoffman was sentenced to 14 days in prison for her role in the college admissions scandal back in 2019. One mother, trick-or-treating with her kids on Halloween, was caught on camera taking all the candy outside a home, despite the note that read, "Help yourself, but be considerate." #InsideEdition

That’s not an ‘emotional parent’- it’s an abuser, who also happens to be a parent. Im sending my love to the daughter, I can’t imagine what this was like for her. She must have been terrified that her father was going to shoot her boyfriend and/or herself. She was madly in love with this young man, & evidently shared no values with racists but carries the burden of shame, feeling she is a representative of her family/father.
May she now be safe and happy, and continuing to heal. No matter what happened between her and her love, I hope they still have a friendship or at least send one another thoughts of love & respect when they think of each other.
How this didn’t end in a triple murder suicide that day is nothing short of miraculous.
The video showed nothing to state that the father was going to murder the man or daughter. Not to mention nothing the father said or done mentioned race. Of course what he did was absolutely disturbing, and he definitely deserved a punishment. Never will what he did ever be alright. But this has nothing to do with race. But wonderful message besides that.

You don’t understand how enraging it is to not be able to get your daughter to leave someone who is so bad for her that we feared for her life every day. You usually can’t tell much about a person from a small clip, but in this case you can definitely tell what kind of person that boy is.
It is such a stark contrast to the adult who cleared out the candy herself.

The speech Ms. Hoffman's daughter made was heartbreaking. She was so afraid, she didn't even trust her own daughter to do good enough to get into college on her own. Their relationship is forever broken.
That father deserves more then just being fired, he deserves to lose custody of that poor child.

The fact that this cop didn't see her in the backseat says a lot. He must have been raging hard and had some tunnel vision going on.
That's what I was thinking!! What were his intentions with the bf? Had he not found his daughter back there, we may not have been able to find the bf again ever, even til this day! He told him he was going to jail but for what? Either he was gonna plant some drugs and get him a prison stay or he was gonna make that baby disappear forever! That's disgusting and disgraceful. The bf should definitely thank his lucky stars that he picked gf up that day cuz it coulda been a whole different story if she wouldn't have been there!

That first cop should have been charged with kidnapping. That poor girl is probably traumatized and I’m willing to bet he treated her even worse at home. I hope she’s okay. Sending much love to her from a person whose also had their father force them into a car as an adult as well. It’s terrifying not to have your own rights respected as an adult woman.
Yeah, I think he got more than enough punishment- i mean he’d been working for them for 26 years which means he lost his entire retirement! You can’t just go and replace that - you don’t have another 30 years to do that with- I mean that just ruined his life! I think that it certainly wasn’t correct what he did but I think firing him was too far they should have put him on probation for awhile knowing the situation and made him do some community service and go to a parenting class or something. I thought she was overreacting as well. Clearly, she did not like him having that power over her so she was throwing a temper tantrum. Anyways- this situation did not warrant dismissal.

Because who has posession of the camara footage; police officer, he could just say "I lost it" and either the boy would be charged or released (but there would be no evidence of abuse of power)

The woman bragging about and listing off the horrible treatment and conditions another woman is about to experience at their prison is unsettling. She didn't even kill or inflict harm on anyone, it was just bribery. Makes me feel terrible for the other inmates serving longer sentences, that they pride themselves in psychological torture and demeaning humans for petty crimes. Welcome to America.
