I love how excited the husband is.
I agree, the husband was genuinely into it whereas the wife not so much.
She kind of looked like she wasn't feeling good. I think she is pregnant. Her husband was excited enough for both of them lol.
Ay que cambiarle la esposa a ese hombre por Dios el estaba tan emocionado y ella apenas demostro estar contenta đ
You know it's fake right
He's such a babe
Yay! Taking a 30 minute show and shaving it down to 7. This is my jam!
It's an hour show.
Katie Testa Agreed. I donât prefer to see the real estate process. Just get to the reno.
đđđđ
And no 8 minute long commercial breaks!! That make up half of the show! Thatâs why theyâre an hour. Haha
even without the ads the show is around 43 minutes đŽ
She's the introvert, he's the extrovert. That's why they attract each other. May God bless their beautiful home and family.
Ppl that put carpet in their bathrooms should be fined. đ€ą
And people who put hardwood floors in their bathrooms and kitchens should be flogged
Vacuum guys đ€Ł yep thatâs gonna get soaked n soggy. Then comes the splitting & mould đ€ą
@@kvncrts You can waterproof wood tbh
When I moved to my house the kitchen had a carpet, I could not understand why
Carpet everywhere back in the day meant you were rich đ€Ł
Rich but dumb lol holy bacteria
OMG--my heart fell when she said she wants to take out the windows
Same! I love Joâs style but I feel like she is too comfortable with the rustic farmhouse. Those windows would have tied the look together so well
IKR those windows are beautiful
So different as well why are you trying to be âsquareâ ew!
I thought the same thing!!! They made the home so much more unique and still would have fit in with the new look they were going for!
Me too
I wonder if in next decades the trends will go back to build walls to separate spaces, and all these programs are "so many open spaces are a waste of space, letÂŽs have a room for every different activity"
I've totally wondered this too! And especially now with whole families being stuck quarantined in the same house - separate spaces are precious! haha
Maybe... Open spaces are good in bringing natural light in so itâs fitting for a small place. But itâs not environmentally friendly since it consumes much more energy to heat up/cool down a big open space. I think open space should be reserved for smaller houses/apartments. It would be on trend as our generation is more indebted, I.e. can only afford smaller houses, and weâre also more environmentally conscious.
Good point! I hate open concept! It makes space feel smaller.
My daughter and her husband bought and renovated a 110-year-old house, and left the walls intact, didn't even consider making it open concept, and it works very well for them.
đđ
Iâm so sorry for those windows in the living room đ„ș
Everyoneâs talking about the wifeâs reaction but she seems to have a reserved personality. Trust me as a reserved person myself, sheâs definitely happy!
Iâm the same way.
Victoria Garcia me too :D & my husband is VERY extroverted lol!
I agree. My wife is reserved too & I am the loud one. My parents are the opposite though. My dad has a real poker face. And my mom was very expressive.
The husbands reaction is awesome!
Because the reno is quite masculine.
Seems that he got everything he wanted and she seems unhappy with it all
Caroline Sharpe she does?
I agree she is either not an over expressive person or she doesn't like it. I'm not a huge fan of what the did but it does look nice.
I mean sheâs pregnant so maybe sheâs not feeling well. She did make an effort to say âwowâ and âamazingâ towards the end
Camera shy? I'm a dork and I know it. If i was on tv I'd be silent or feel stupid
@@Rollwithit699 sorry what? why is everyone saying that's because she's pregnant? it could be literally anything else. pregnancy doesn't make you not feel exited about things.
to me it seems rather that she didn't really like a couple of things. especially in the kitchen? maybe she got something different than she should she was going to get? and she didn't seem too happy about the barn door in her bedroom either
The new fire place does not match the classic outside feeling of the house or the industrial stair case at all. I don't understand why she has so much going on
He wanted lodge style because he's from Colorado. She wanted a different style. It was a compromise.
Joanna Gaines' style is always farm industrial.
Selling this home will be a pain in the ass because of all the randomness- but seems it was intentional in attempt to match HIS style..
totally thought the same.. there s a bunch of things that don't match with each other
@Chalet N yet you keep coming back to watch đ€đ€đ€
Brick is low maintenance. Once you paint it you always have to. Moisture comes through the brick and the paint peels.
Painting brick is an old way to hide bad brickwork or that you got the cheeper cast-off bricks to build your house. If you don't have to don't paint that's why it's brick.
Hopefully yur not painting the brick with latex paint... They sell masonry paint for bricks.
Ummmm..Im glad they like it, but the inside doesn't fit the outside.
This is probably the best house they renovated that Iâve seen in the series. LOVE the fireplace and the sun shining in the bathroom!
Right. Im glad its not a gas fireplace.
Agree. Love the house!
The husband was way more excited than the wife!! đđđ
Right!...she didn't seem happy at all...Debbie downer
The design is very rustic/caveman-like. Maybe she didn't have much of a say in it and was disappointed with it...
Rachel la vamos a cambiar tambien đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
She was smiling a lot, was just a bit overwhelmed by it all
I can actually relate to this guy. Iâm a very loud person but my wife is very reserved. My parents are the opposite though. My dad has a real poker face while my mom is so expressive.
"office / kids playroom." huh? How do those two things go together?
Are you a parent? A parent would understand exactly how these two things go together. :)
@Martha S. When the kids are at school, you work (that is of you work from home). When they are at home, you can work whilst you watch over them playing or alternatively you'll be busy fixing meals for them so you won't need to be in the home office/play area. It works
Actually, every room would be his playroom. and every playroom would be your office.
Yeah I hated this idea. I want my own office, NO kids stuff.
Exactly!
Joe and Chip really do incredible work.. magnificent!!
Iâm suspicious when people donât use bookshelves for actual books. Where are your books!?!
Kindle baby kindle. : ) PS. I miss the paper and the spines too.
Yeah, but they put books on the fireplace mantle.
@@ejohnson3131 after I made my comment I realized when they REVEAL the house ALL the contents are for staging purposes. A suggestion on how Jo would decorate. They belong to the company and are for sale if the home owner wants to buy. When the camera turns off all the contents are removed. These home owners may infact own a TON of books. : )
Or are they just shelves?
@@linlen4866 Ha ha. What a revelation. : ) It is quite possible it is just a shelf.
Beautiful ..a really great job ..contemporary and classic in all the right places đđđđ
I love watching all the fixer up shows, every one of them has very unique designs, which is unusual .whenever i am able to get my dream home, i'm going to take a piece of my dream from each of them.
The husband's reaction is classic! love it!
So love their work...this is wonderful
This is about my most favourite make over house they did!
This couple - Chip and Joanna - they are just so gifted. Genius. I've been just a recent Subscriber, and I enjoyed every home renovated and transformed into WOW. Lovet this coiuple a lot. God bless them.
Beautiful! They made the house reflect it's owners!! đ
Love how chip is goofy and professional and how his wife is great with the designs and she is cool and Mello.great couple!!!!
OMG lady your are fantastic at what you do. WOW I am impressed at your abilities to transform this house into a timeless masterpiece.
They did an exceptional jobđ
Beautiful finishes â
What a beautiful old home can't wait to see the end results of jo's ideas and Chip's and crews hard work. And as always I love it!!
Absolutely love the childrenâs table
You guys nail it every single time . WELL DONE AS ALWAYS
I am so over painting brick. An extra layer of maintenance has been added. That original brick pattern was beautiful.
Love watching these two. They have a lovely family. Every house they tackle is different. Wish they were in England
1:52 Them saloon doors thoughđđŹ
Loved everything youâll did to this house - everything! â„ïžâ„ïžâ„ïžâ„ïžâ„ïžđčđčđč
They took away so many elements of the home :( the balcony, the windows. Feels unnatural
Guess ya got to ask the owners who ask for it why did they want this in their hime.. lol....
Exactly. The original facade looked gazillions times better.
Always impressed by Chip and Jos work. GREAT.
Wow, great quick show!
Beautiful
Siete fantastici, unici, insuperabili!!! đđđ
I love the husbands reaction!
The wife is so pretty and probably so tired, its hard being pregnant, but you can see how happy she is too.
@Thor Swenson Karens are judgmental, shrewish, opinionated, loud, and annoying. They don't hide it because they're incapable of it. She's quiet and reserved. If anything, she's too subservient. If you want to see real Karens watch a few episodes of "House Hunters" and you'll get your fill of them.
A woman can recognize when another woman is in the early stages of pregnancies. Many--if not most--men are clueless.
Beautiful home ! Thanks for sharing!
...and the sinks are: The JAM! (LOL - so sweet!!)
loving the result!
very classy. alot of old dated houses pout there. this is very modern and fresh.
jo is so talented.

I was so excited to see the inside once the classic traditional exterior was revealed. Lol. The interior is so disconnected. Modern Traditional is such a beautiful style and is what shouldâve been done here. They couldâve given the husband a rustic/industrial man cave in the basement or elsewhere. I hate the opening of the dining room to the kitchen. The kitchen and bathroom are nice.
We don't have basements in Texas.
@@Vintage_Recreations why?
As always, such a joy to see the new change.
Beautiful Home i want to be a interior designer when i grow up or counsler butso far interior designing
Me encanta la reacciĂłn del hombre, es muy expresivo se ve que le gustĂł cĂłmo le quedĂł su casa, bien por ellos...âșïž
NO WAY in the world this is a 100k reno. Give us the numbers TLC.
Panikovskii also calculate the construction aspect which could run a hefty penny
To do a kitchen, basic is 15,000 so yes.. easy to see with what was done â out exactly how much it would cost. The metal on the steps were 6 grand( what the owners wanted)
@@rhondaraye3790
Yes! My mom spent $40,000 on her kitchen and new flooring for the main part of the house. They got outside work, windows, bathroom, a wall taken out, and the furniture, plus the stone work on the fireplace...Iâd say they did well with the money spent.
They got sponsored after all its a TV show
Love the renovation, what a transformation!

Chip and Jo are one of my favorite TV shows.
Such a beautiful house. My favorite. You two are amazing đâ€đ§Ąđđ
She looks at everything with a moms eye. Itâs just so functional and beautiful!
Wow I just love love love this house!
The bedroom, the bathroom, the fireplace, the kitchen
its allll so beautiful.
I'm a big fan of country and old world!
Can. you come to Australia and do our
home...
OMG - i liked it with all the woodwork WHITE. The other is too dark. Kitchen nice and bright, and love the balcony off the bathroom
Amazing!!
Stunning!!!
The before house in my area would be $900k and be in worse condition lol
i love that the show is coming back next year.
Stunning finishes.
Itâs like Pinterest DIYâs and hobby lobby had a love child and it was this house. Do with that information what you will.
Vi voglio bene. Siete per me come componenti della mia famiglia. Vi seguo sempre. Bravi e simpatici.
"Take out the arched windows, give it a streamlined look ...." Taking out the beautiful arched windows makes it look like every other modern cookie cutter house. Couldn't believe they would do that. The outside of the house does look much better, and I like opening up the foyer so the light comes through. Cringed again at taking out beautiful flowing banisters and giving it metal railings that look like its from a jail. Some style is not outdated.
Thank you! I love arched windows!
One of my fav houses they did!
This house has some good elements, but in about 10 years theyll hate it. All the different aspects overwhelm it
Itâs tough pointing out one specific part of their builds, since theyâre all amazing, but⊠That bathroom though. Absolutely awe inspiring.
Except the windows! You know they are just going to get privacy shades covering them ASAP, lol. I have a big window in my bathroom and the shades never go up, curtain never gets pulled aside...I really donât want to put on a show for the neighbors. Iâm constantly looking to make sure there isnât a space to peep in.
The house looks beautiful
Amazing house, good job Jo and Chip
The wife doesn't seem to excited if that was me I would be jumping up and down for joy, what a beautiful make over, Chip and Joanna are the best!
The only thing i didn't like about this house , before and after is, the staircase ends at a wall. it would've felt larger with a clear space into the hallway .
I have to agree they did a really good job in terms of transformation.
I love the master bathroom!
Did great job!
Beautiful
Wow~~beautiful!
So gorgeous â€ïž I'm going back to school to be a designer if we make it through these vaccines đđŸđŻ
I kind of dig the shape of the old windows she said would replace, just to offset everything linear in the floor plan layout.
Beautiful đ
I love this style!
Absolutely fabulous! Is the furniture theirs, because the decor makes it unique as well? đ
No, they only get to keep a few of the pieces in this show, most is just for staging.
I think it came predecorated and they don't mind because they seem pretty basic đ
Why is the wife silent and look confused at the beginning?
Because she is dissapointed?
She sure didn't seem as excited as her husband.
A lot of people can get very uncomfortable when theyâre on camera. I would look 10 times more confused if that was me
Because this house is a match to the architect lady but not to her?
Introverted/extrovert. ppl
Surprise!! She tore it up and painted it all white and gray!! Now who would have thought she would have done that?? đđ„± YAWN!!!
6500 dollar iron railing? Is your iron made of gold?
No, but itâs not made in China! Lol
J M all hand made .
JJ It is not hand made. all profiles are factory made.
real price for the railing: 500 plus 100 for textured paint
Commentator541 OK then..Iâm in the design business and all my railings for clients are made by a wrought iron worker who custom makes them to fit the stair case . Itâs very labour intensive . Iâm sure Joanna does the same .
Great show! I'd love to interview them on my podcast, I have a recent episode with some other HGTV hosts. Great channel!

Uma das casas mais lindas q eles ja fizeram â€
I loved the old windows and the saloon doors in bathroom the kitchen is the best room they did ,the house seems hollow and cold and echoes when they walk
Hello from Sweden! Nice and interesting and beautiful, This is also the best way for Chip to wear his hair and without any aging beard. Please Compare and hope You Both can agree? MK
Please do my house. The transformation is jaw dropping
I wish we could afford Chip and Joanna for our home. They always "Hit it out of the park"!
God bless may favorite family
Siete spettacolari
Get rid of 90's style? I recently moved into a place straight out of the 80's. I like it...
Jo is one of the few that i would trust renovating a house for us.
My only issue is the style of curtains. A lot designers make them to long. As a skilled marker of curtains, for decades, they should be 1-2 inches from the floor depending if its a bedroom or not.
I want this home
