Yes I've made mosaic xmas ornaments this year. I found plain Angel's at Walmart that already had fur wings. I added the stained glass to body & head. Looks great on the tree!

I'm proud to let you know I created Christmas ornaments from Italian dishes my family used in the past, now broken. You really inspired me. I'm very proud to give my grown chilren a tree decorations. You might want to watch this video first (czcams.com/video/_rBHSw_wP_Q/video.html) which will give you instructions on which adhesives and grouts would work best. Hi Judy! I used thinset on all of them. The glazed brick needed a 'heavy duty' adhesive, plus I was using a variety of materials in different thicknesses so I needed 'help' getting the tesserae to be at the same level on the surface. I used wood for all of the substrates. They were so much fun to make, and there are endless substrate options out there. Give it a whirl! Keep creating and I'm glad you're here!🎄
