Kalki 2898 AD and Brahmastra VFX is best so far Kalki is better because of the budget and they know how to use the money properly the detailing and all

Brahmastra vfx is not even near to kalki. Brahmastra have nothing only laser show. Half movie they shot in natural beauty uttarakhand and Himachal and half movie revolves around citylights of mumbai delhi and ghats of varanasi.
On the other hand kalki have a lot of elements in its vfx. Whole 3 different world they have created with futuristic elements.

Brahmastra is really a gem movie... jitna aaj south ki films ko hype milti hai, collections hote hain.. utna hi value brahmastra ko milni chahiye thi.. they have good collections but yaad nahi rakhi gai ye film

Kalki has better story but I enjoyed brahamastra more,hence like it more. I disagree on the vision part,from the concept arts and the power system he had build for his movie one can say that the movie had lot of vision and that too orginal.
Unfortunately it didn't earn much compared to its budget,it deserves to do more numbers(in my opinion). Just bcuz of few flaws,it's was marred too much by critics,even kalki had flaw - in action sequences,1st half was almost boring and there were too much lame jokes. Brahamastra was consistent throughout our it's run,just had poor dialogues, underdeveloped love story(which I personally didn't bother me) and especially last dialogue of Guru which is misunderstood by audience 😭.
The power system in Brahmaastra is explored/shown better. The whole climax battle when Shiva takes on Junnoon and her gang alone - that alone shows grand vision of Ayan.
Kalki on the other hand har abrubt and not well defined climax fight,as to many parties were involved doing their own thing. Kalki's strength lies in its story and it's connection to Mahabharata which Nag intended to do as he said he is writing sequel to Mahabharata (though he has taken some liberties and tweaked few things). Brahamastra part 1 had simple plot on the other hand and story as far as we know is not much revealed,we know very little about Brahamastra,Amrita,Dev, brhamansh and panch pandav. Kalki has more elaborate story and past of characters - like bhairava,Sum-80,even those 2 rebels which got killed,ya that's different we know very little bout the tech and antagonist side. We already know everything about Ashwatthama bcuz of Mahabharata.

Why you missed Fighter?
The scene where Chandrashekhar Azad passes on the revolver to present-day DJ from the film Rang De Basanti.
It wasn't over-the-top action sequence or a scene from a sci-fi film, but it was smooth gesture to see a historical figure has finally found someone who he can pass on the torch to.
It was not only a brilliant use of VFX, but to use for such a beautiful scene, makes it more special!
I felt vfx of Brahmastra was more like a laser show than anything else.. I will rank Ra. One over Brahmastra

Krrish movie is great but it not deserve to this list because Krrish action are not made by cgi vfx it all practical
I like how 80 percent of the films mentioned is very mediocre or worse in their writing.
The one deserving film in this list is Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! The visual effects of the film was too flawless. They had made most of the whole 40's Calcutta in CGI and that was very difficult to point out for an audience.

You should've included Krrish 3 instead of Krrish, it was more VFX loaded, yes the movie was average but it definitely had amazing vfx and other than Kaal's costume, everything was almost perfect from VFX pov.

I think in story wise kalki was better than brahmastra but from vfx view point kalki was weaker than brahmastra with even having a greater budget than brahmastra and the vfx used in first half of kalki was little bit weaker but incase of brahmastra vfx was maintained throughout in the movie and vfx in hand to hand combat was also bad compared to brahmastra

You cannot put Shivaay in this list, it had creative action sequences but in most complicated scenes the VFX lacked finesse, they looked good in the trailer only but obvious in the final film. I watched this movie in the theatre and each VFX was noticeable. The problem is Ajay Devgan's overindulgence in gimmicky shots which sadly his own company cannot deliver.

I realised it recently that what PR truly is
Whenever there is a film related to a particular aspect comes from other industries than bollywood then bollywoods PR will start saying this particular "aspect" is greater in bwood than other industries
Example kalki has released recently now the PR is trying to push bramhastra to showcase its vfx(this channel and twitter are examples)
When bramhayugam from mollywood was being released i suddenly star5ed noticing some bollywood horror movie popping up frequently
I dont know why but bollywood has lots of insecurities which is clearly visible
