Thank you for posting this video on a classic aircraft! Samaritan's Purse now fly two beautiful classic airliners. However, the honor of the oldest Boeing 757 flying belongs to a fellow ex-Eastern bird, N757HW, a test bed and research aircraft for Honeywell. That airplane started out as N504EA... back in 1982. Both aircraft are in excellent shape and well cared for.

So after researching N757HW, she was the 5th 757 ever built and it’s odd that every website says she was built in 1983 when N505EA (the 6th 757 built and the 757 at Maxton) was the 6th 757 built but she was built in 1982. I’m sure N757HW was built in 1982 but someone messed up the information 😂😅.
But if she was in fact built in 1982 then she is most likely the oldest remaining 757 in the world. I originally thought G-PIDS at Maxton was the oldest but it’s amazing to see that her older sister is still flying!

I saw Samaritan’s iconic DC-8 fly over me when driving by Greensboro a little while ago. I didn’t know that they had a 757 too now. Thanks for the video!

The DC8 is still their main aircraft. The 757 is their 2nd aircraft to expand the airline and where they can be at 2 places at once or while the DC8 is in maintenance, they can have the 757 operating so they always have an aircraft available.
