Hey Sharon and Joe! Great video. Super informative. I have a question. Do you know if GR Caribe guests can access all 3 resorts within Solaris within Cancun. Such as the restaurants (buffets AND a la carte) and the pools/gyms/etc amenities? Thank you for y’all’s insight!
Thanks! Absolutely. The Royal is right next door, so you're getting two resorts in one. You can take the shuttle or walk over to the Gr Solaris. You have access to all three. Have fun!

Couple of questions: 1. GYM - It appears that the GYM is bigger than the in in GR Solaris, is that right? Also, do you know if you could use both? 2. Is there public transportation or courtesy shuttle to Cancun itself? Thank you
Yes, the gym at the Royal Solaris is a little bigger. You should be able to use it if you're staying at the GR. No courtesy shuttle to town but the bus stop is right outside the hotel, very inexpensive. Runs all day/night.
Do they pick you up from the airport and drop you off on the day you’re leaving? If so, how do you reserve that? Thank you in advance! :)
Hi Kimberly, if you are a "member" and are staying 6 nights or more, transportation is included and would be set up in advance of your trip. If you are a regular hotel guest, you can call the GR Caribe and they will give you options for transportation with their in-house excursion company. The third option is to book with a third party transportation company online.
Which resort did you like better GR Solaris deluxe or the Gr caribe?
If it is just my wife and I, we prefer the Caribe. Smaller and quieter, plus you can go back and forth between the Caribe and Royal all day long. When we bring friends, it's the GR.

You may ask why no information on rooms? Simple, the resort has several different types of rooms with different views. You are better served going to the GR Caribe's own site for that information. What we can tell you is that the rooms are kept very clean and the beds are comfortable.😏
Are the rooms quiet?
@@swyllie30 For the most part, yes. Around the courtyard can be a little loud depending on the guests that week.
Between the two hotels, what's the latest spot a bar is open until. I'm seeing mixed times. Most are saying 11 pm. Is that Eastern time. Seems early.
The Lobby bar at the Royal is open daily from 9:00 am MTS - 1:00 am MTS
@@Insights_followus I see MTS on their website. I think that means MST as there is no MTS time zone. That's what's confusing all the information.

How can we use their complimentary shuttle? Do we have to contact them?
If you are a member and stay 6 nights or more, it's complimentary. As a hotel guest, you would have to reach out to the hotel to make arrangements.

I’m very conflicted on getting either the GR Solaris or royal. What do you prefer? For no kids either
@@yuesdues8208 GR is bigger. More pool area and an adult only pool also. Royal is more compact and more active. We've stayed in all three many times, along with Cabo. My wife and I alone usually alternate between the Royal and the GR. Lately, more so the GR.

Was seaweed a problem?
When we were there in May about 3 days of seaweed issues during the week.
What money did u take dollars or pesos
Dollars. We bring a lot of fives and singles for tipping. Any larger purchases we put on our credit card.
Do the rooms have a hair dryer?
Yes.
Which is better? GR Carbie or Royal Solaris?
The Caribe is more stylish and quiet. The Royal is larger and much more active. If you stay at the Caribe you just walk next door for the Royal. That's where the gym/spa/beauty salon/shows and shopping are. Best of both worlds.
