Thanks for watching! - Hry
Not going to lie, but I just LOVE the father/daughter relationship Geralt has with Ciri. You can tell throughout the game how much he cares about and loves her like a daughter. Who says Witchers don't have emotions?
He’s so emotional in the books it’s uncanny lmao
@@cyunt8167 in the game also, he is emotional, not as emotional as humans, but also emotional.
Erik Ribak eh kinda yeah
That's actually not true based on what I saw in my playthroughs.
He just hides it.
To answer your question, witchers.
I found her at last in my playthrough. I am in tears. Such an emotional scene. An absolute masterpiece.
First playthrough, i knew she was alive, but it didn't lessen the blow.
Its gonna take me months, because in just 3 days I'm in my 3rd mission, lol
"People linked by destiny will always find each other." - Geralt
Ciri: I'm your destiny? Say it! I'm your destiny?”
Geralt: “You're something more, Ciri. Much more.”
When was this said?
@@kaanseyhun7041 It is the encounter in the book
-‘Geralt!’ the little girl repeated, clinging to the Witcher’s chest. ‘You found me! I knew you would! I always knew! I knew you’d find me!’
-‘Ciri,’ said the Witcher.
- Yurga could not see his face hidden among the mousy hair. He saw hands in black gloves squeezing the girl’s back and shoulders.
-‘You found me! Oh, Geralt! I was waiting all the time! For so very long… We’ll be together now, won’t we? Now we’ll be together, won’t we? Say it, Geralt! Forever! Say it!’
-‘Forever, Ciri.’
-‘It’s like they said! Geralt! It’s like they said! Am I your destiny? Say it! Am I your destiny?’
-Yurga saw the Witcher’s eyes. And was very astonished. He heard his wife’s soft weeping, felt the trembling of her shoulders. He looked at the Witcher and waited, tensed, for his answer. He knew he would not understand it, but he waited for it. And heard it.
- ‘You’re more than that, Ciri. Much more.’
@@archi4226 ah ok thanks
My favorite moment in the whole game. Two thirds of the game was spend building up to their reunion and man did it deliver.
12:00 Ciri mentions the real finale of the Witcher series where everyone reunites in Geralt's vineyard and thanks the players for being with them on their journey
😭😭😖😖
What makes it more powerful is realizing Geralt's wit her senses would mean he could tell if she was alive. But it's only when he finally touches her that the feeling hits him and he's lost all hope in his goal
It's actually the wisp.
I guess she really was lifeless until the wisp entered her.
It could have been Avallach's plan to keep Eredin away.
My heart sank when Geralt hugged her but I cried when she returned his hug 😭❤
Snow white and the 7 dwarves.. haha
Sure hehehe
oh damn i just realized about the snow white part.
and Little Red who turns to a werewolf :))
Just finished Withcer 3 + DLC's, for the first time in 2019. Never played anything like it, still can't belive i've got so attached to all those video game characters, miss it already, what a masterpiece!
"Besides, I hate portals."
That line killed me 😂😂😂
Yeah, first time I played, I cracked up when he said that.
Is even possible to watch this scene without crying? I completed the game 4 years ago and I've seen the scene like 50 times at least but I still can't manage to not cry every single time due to its great beauty.
I still find it funny that people consider Witchers emotionless. You would just need to look at Geralds reaction to Ciris "dead" body. He was close to loose it in a short moment and then regained control. If anything, certain emotions are lessened which also might make other emotions seem more intense then they would usually be.
MakaraTube I might be wrong, but I believe it's stated that witchers are fundamentally devoid of complex human emotions as a result of the mutations they go through, and have therefore been widely despised by almost everyone over the course of history. However, Geralt was specifically designed/trained to become a more 'human' witcher, one who could communicate with other humans more effectively and thus close the gap that's kept witchers and regular humans apart for generations. I don't remember where I got this information exactly, so I can unfortunately not cite a direct source.
Eddard Sharpe I'm no expert on the matter either, I think FluffyNinjaLlama has read all the books tho.
I personally think it's not the case since all the other Witchers you meet throughout the game act similarly emotional as Gerald does.
MakaraTube As far as I know, the no emotions thing is a myth perpetuated by the book called 'monstrum' which calls for the destruction of all witchers and was used as inspiration for the pogrom against Kaer Morhen. Although their emotions are lessened, witchers do not lose them.
MakaraTube That pogrom against Kael Morhen was aided by mages as well. I do not remember reading about their motive, just that it would have been impossible for a bunch of peasants to even find the way to Kael Morhen, let alone assault a keep full of witchers(and a few mages that make witchers) without the help of powerful mages.
Whoever had wanted to slander the witchers all those time ago had being monstrously effective though. That neutrality they practice was probably started with good intentions to keep witchers from becoming soldiers and mercenaries, not because they are unfeeling or amoral
+MakaraTube the emotionless thing is just a possibility of the outcome of the trial of the grasses. It's said by Triss that Geralt's emotionless is more of a choice..
Can we please talk about this music, the wolf and the swallow ? This adds so much in this scene !
6:15 Ciri talking about cyberpunk 2077
This scene gets a lot more emotional after finishing the books.
Indeed friend. Every fan of witcher should read them and then play all 3 games again.. such awesome experience!
1:56 onwards the game portrayed geralt's helplessness so beautifully, that i chaotically sobbed. i felt for him my god.
3:05 rend my heart open.
6:12, Cyberpunk 2077 reference. Ciri might have appeared in that
i thought it was a reference to our world
mikalp123 Question is will Ciri appear in that game?
+Shahir Hameed Ah, good point, mate. I didn't get "metal in their head" phrase, thought about Back To The Future 2 after reference to flying ships. Definitely Cyberpunk 2077.
vasjaforutube1 It will be very interesting to see her in that game. Wonder if we could romance her if she did appear
+vasjaforutube1 well, little we know about the game but we may use a goggle like thing (see the teaser). What i find interesting is when she says "waged war from a distance", probably a feature of the game (?), and the lady of the lake having a cameo of course.
little did we know by then that Ciri was talking about glitches
6:24 im not fooling you and it was a guy who says : im breathtaking .
I cry every time. Even knowing it'll be okay.
Incredibly epic. The game was just getting started at this point, and yet there's enough world building and intriguing content to fill three lesser games. How breathtaking it was listening to Ciri shedding light on the myriad of events the player was deeply latched onto for hours.
He looked so 💔 broken 😭
I love the bond between them! Such an emotional heart gripping scene
Ayy she’s referencing cyberpunk 2077. Be cool if we get a Easter egg of her appearing there
Even if it's just for a brief moment.
No matter how many times I play the game, this scene always gets me.
S1E8 brought me back here
Is there a similar scene in that?
@@CST1992 not gonna spoil you bud
@@whatthepug9130 Respect. Although I'm more interested in the game, I may not watch the series any time soon.
@@CST1992 The plot in the series would be a prequel to the witcher games, so watch as you will
@@whatthepug9130 All three of 'em? The games?
I cried
That almost perfected witcher Bear armor set :) Bad Ass !
awww
I think the world Ciri traveled to with people (metal in their heads) is a world of cyberpunks, robots, and advanced technology.
I started the game later than others (my pc when the game launched was not good enough). Because the game had such a boom, I was bound to come across some spoilers at some point. Didn't get spoiled hard to the point where I couldn't enjoy the game, but I knew before I started my own playthrough (because of the spoilers) that the game had multiple endings, and in one of them ciri dies.
When I got into this point in the game, I thought that I had fucked up big time and got the bad ending ... I was so sad, I was about to consider restarting the game.
I am an emotional person but usually do a good job at hiding it but there was no power in the universe that could stop me from crying when they run towards each other in the flashback.
Don’t cry it’s just a game
The game:
Best game forever
I went from a crying drunk to an angry dad at his son’s baseball game during that scene
Even the knife of Ciri gets emotional lol.
i didnt like everything CDPR did with their witcher storyline, but this is the reunion everyone was waiting after the Stygga Castle chapter, which was the perfect way for them to reunite. You won't read something like this on the novels, thats why this might be the most intense scene on gaming history and the best executed fanservice out there.
(6:14 Ciri in cyberpunk 2077 confirmed)
what's wrong with their storyline, just asking?
I think it's pretty well written for a video game - requires a different approach from literature and movies. Not trying to be a smart ass, but may I ask what you didn't like?
"You won't read something like this in the novels" nigga when Geralt got Reunited with Ciri after the Fall of Cintra, I fucking cried. That shit was so powerful and if you read it, it would make the reunion scene in the game that much more meaningful trust me
Anyone know which theme it is in this video? I’ve been trying to find it for a few days now, it’s driving me mad
which part? when geralt finds ciri's body or the one playing as they converse
I accidentally skipped the whole cut scene
Ciri is the perfect dream crush and Witcher Disney Princess all in one, in my opinion. She is as beautiful, cute and very pretty as Elsa in Frozen, tough as Merida in Brave, she has Anna's love for adventure and has Rapunzel's spirit and attitude in Tangled. Ciri, like Triss and Shani and perhaps like Yennefer, is always going to be my number one crush in these games, even after all these years, plus, her voice, very hot and sweet and sexy. half this scene if I can say, I probably didn't really pay attention because I may have been lost hearing her speak. Anyway, the main point I want to say is still the main and real reason you want to order or buy thses games, because she's beautiful, brave, tough and super, no wait, uber-cool.
Ciri might replace Triss as my fav girl in witcher 3. Love her silver hair and she can fight like an abaolute badass
Jesus
Down bad
Playing this part right now. That whole first sequence skipped for me and missed her waking up
Damn!!! who just put the onions near me?
I don't understand. How did she come back to life?!
one of the most poignant moments in the game
Is this a snow white refrences ?
Cyberpunk hype my peeps!
This comment aged like milk
Ciri fine
Any one knows the music?
The Wolf And The Swallow - Mikolai Stroinski // from the witcher 3 Soundtrack
Had to come back to this after the show. The show reunion scene was a letdown compared to this.
I mean, in this we have a father reunites with his daughter after a long search.
In the show we have two strangers meeting each other for the first time.
Kind of make sense there wouldn't be much emotion in the latter while the first one is much better
its exactly like the show, the part when she was a kid is the same as here, this is after when they are older got ur times wrong dude
@@bananasmoussestachio9017 Well, yes and no. The show completely skipped the part in Brokilon Forest where Geralt and Ciri meet each other and that's where their bond and relationship begin to blossom, thus making their reunion (at least in the book) much more impactful because of what happened in Brokilon. The reunion in the show wasn't nearly as impactful as either the book or this game's scene because the show runners decided to leave out a very important part of Geralt and Ciri's relationship.
it bothers me so that Geralt 1:31 has no heel at all when he rides Roach more than anybody and Ciri 1:07 has high heels despite being literally on the run
I know, I'm too nit picky...
I found a mod to make Ciri have no heels at all even though in a story cutscene where she is leaping at an enemy, she clearly has short riding heel boots, and there are no mods for Geralt.
How come no one choses "step aside"??? It's a better line.
