Thank you for this video! I have the banding problem you described. I ran the nozzle check and that was fine. I ran an auto head alignment and I still have the problem. I figure I either have to align manually (however that is done) or I need to clean the interior since I do 95% borderless prints. I can clean with Windex, but will need to find out what to clean. Thanks again, and I report back as to what fixed the issue. -Jeff

I look forward to the Q1 video. I haven’t found it as straightforward as Lightroom, so have given up. I need to spend some time getting to grips with it.

Jose', I am about to purchase my first pro printer in January. I enjoy your videos because they are so educational for me. Right now, I am experiencing technical difficulties. I am trying to learn HOW to edit photos for printing and I've reached a problem in Lightroom. I edited a picture in the "soft proof" setting and now when I "export" the image, it will not export the edited image. It will only export the master image, which is unedited. What am I doing wrong?

WHY are you wanting to export a softproofed image?? Your softproofed copy is just an Approximation of what it will look in print form anyway. You need to print from your edited original image and compare that to your softproofed copy. You didnt say but are you trying to send your file out for print or are going to pint it yourself?

Mr. Rodriguez, I'm actually editing lots of images, getting ready to print them when I get my first pro photo printer. I've been into photography since I was 9 years old and I'm 53 now. I can't wait! I'm getting the Epson P800 in Jan. 2018.

It seems that when folk are having serious issues with their printer two things tend to be responsible. Firstly, lack of printer use, secondly, they refill. Now whilst refilling can be done completely successfully and results excellent I honestly wonder if all the potential problems that can arise make it as cost effective as it might seem. Yes if you follow all the steps accurately you shouldn't have any issues but there is so many things that you can get wrong it might be just as well sticking to OEM despite the cost. Regards cost, if you burn out print heads or have to loose ink running purges to clear nozzles due to poor refilling I'd suggest going OEM might actually be cheaper! I'm not suggesting going OEM is entirely trouble free but my guess is 90% of those having a whole host of printer issues tend to refill, or maybe I'm totally wrong. Of course workflow issues such as colour management have no bearing on whether you refill or not so I accept other aspects can determine printing success or failure besides the ink itself that's used. Out of curiosity Jose, would you say you find those that refill have considerably more issues than those who only use OEM? 😊

I.agree! As far as more of less problems by those who chose refilling? Sure. You have to learn and perform the process correctly and consistently or problems are surely going to crop up.

What causes white dust spots in prints? How can they be avoided?

Just like in the darkroom days, dots and spots are.cause by, you guessed it. Adjust on the paper which gets printer ever and then after printing over it it brushes off and leaves white spots.
