- Dang this kid is growing up fast, new chapter in his life and we both are enjoying it to the fullest!!!. I hope this new bike inspires him even more into this awesome sport. Danny has worked his butt off at school and at home and also at the races even his 65 was getting small for him. Today he had a session with Hunter and it improved him a lot, specially standing the correct way. Yes he needs to work to use his front brk and to open the throttle more but again the 85 is a big bump in hp from his yz65. He will be ready for next season and so do I. Thanks for supporting the channel and following us on our Journey. Don't forget to hit the like button and to subscribe if you haven't already 👊🏽😎.

i wish growing up i had somone to teach me like this and ride with me love this❤💪🏽
Amazing little machines!
That looks like a great place to ride!
Danny the log hopper! 👍
Looks good on the new bike
@Hamish White yup I did the same too
i got one and i love it it has perfect power
Nice 👍🏻
Good job bud on your firsts ride on a big bike: got a question how tall his he
Like '4"10 in this video,I lowered the bike an inch, by raising the fork tube up and took preload in the back to make it lower, then I checked the Sag with him on it,now he is probably in the 5ft tall, soon will have to raise the bike up,I say in 6months or so
@@thumbgas888 thanks for the reply I’m trying to get a 85 my self so it really helps me😁🤙
Had you done anything to the suspension at the time of this video?
lowered 1" in front and took enough preload from the back to get him in the right Sag, then took it to my suspension guy and he tuned the clickers and re adjusted the sag
is that a thumb throttle on that yamaha? thats the first time i ever saw that
Yes it is, I adapted it due to disability on my fused wrist can't twist throttle when I stand up. Also that's why my channel's name is THUMBGAS!!👍🏽, THAKS FOR WATCHING!!
Very nice video man! I have a question i am 5'4/162cm and i weigh 150lb (ik i am fat) could i fit kx85?
My son is 5ft and I lowered the bike an inch, if I were you I would go with the KX100, since it has bigger tires and taller plus more pwr,Thx for watching
@@thumbgas888 I live in Europe and theres no kx100 for sale nowhere so i have a option if i want to get 85cc or 125cc ktm but my dad said they were lil too exspensive
@@hyposez1129 I mean the best way to do it, is sit on one of them bud and see if you are flat footed or heals up a bit. Danny is Tippy toes but he has grown and in a couple months I'll raise it a little maybe 1/2", this bike should at least. Hopefully last hint till he is 12, then will be or kx112 or kx100 then around 14 he should be on a 125, or my oldest son ktm150sx. But again best thing go sit on one!!
@@thumbgas888 i mean i have ridden with 250cc ktm i had tippy toes on 1 foot so i only used 1 foot when stopping, and i sat on husky tc85 idk if big wheel or normal but when i sat on that 85cc it felt like natural i had almost both feet on the ground, one was fully on ground other basically also full foot on the ground
@@hyposez1129 then go for it buddy!!
The throttle looked like the ones in ATV’s,. Is that stock for your dirt bike or is it just a modification?
Modification, because I can't twist my wrist, due to previous injuries
Thx 4 Watching!!
@@thumbgas888 Ahh, that makes sense. I’ve never ridden a dirt bike but I ride 4 wheelers pretty regularly, but I can’t imagine having to trust the throttle to go forward. I probably wouldn’t have any throttle control on a dirt bike
@@svanteforsberg5212 in reality is not hard at all, couple rides and you get used to it very quick
@@thumbgas888 can the kx 85 fit an average size adult?
Hey can i know how tall danny was in this video in centimeters please?
146cm
@@thumbgas888 Ok thanks man i really appreciate it this will help me alot!
🤜🏽🤛🏽
how old was he at the time
You engine breaking?
Also this is me and bro too lol
Engine braking is fine, its a myth that you shouldn't Engine brake a 2stroke, there is always oil and fuel coming in even with the throttle off. Thx for watching 👍🏾
@@thumbgas888 my lil bro commented this, always told him to not engine brake as it can be detrimental at high rpms. I do agree though, at low rpms it's perfectly fine, especially if the bike is poorly jetted 👌
Why do you have a throttle on the bike
Wrist being fused minimal rotation, thx for watching!!
85
I respect how your teaching him and stuff but you gotta let him ride at his own pace, bc thats just gonna end up in crashing bad if you push him too much. (no hate btw he's a really good rider anyway)
Thank you for your opinion I do respect that!!, I like to push him a little because I've seen him ride hard. The thing is when he rides with me he tends to be lazy because he knows that if he slows down I'll slow down, but if you see other videos when I am not around he is on it,but again thanks for your input much respect for that👊🏾😎Thax 4 watching!!
How tall is he ?
4'8 4'9" around there
@@thumbgas888 really? im 5'3 just really got on an 85
@@JXckkSubscribe well I lowered the bike an inch so he can be on tiptoes, the frame fits him perfectly
how old is danny?
Just turned 10 in July
@@thumbgas888 oh really hes brave im 12 and im scared of a 65 lol
@@Pdxron seat time buddy ,seat time little by little and yes the 85 is a handful!!
@@Pdxron i have a 26 y. But i have respect for 2t power..^^
@@Pdxron the longer you ride on a single ride the more confident and better youll get
is it me or he never used the clutch this bike doesn’t stall 😂
He rarely stalls his bike, I teached him that clutch is for taking off, stopping and power up out of a corner and always when using rear brake hard, he got that pretty good in fact better than me lol,Thanks for watching, he has become pretty fast these days now that he is 12
Pretty sure he can't hear you..and keeps stopping because he just hears yelling..
Yup, people think I'm mad lol, no it's because he can't hear, but trust me he has grown a ton and riding awesome, no more yelling lol
