Very useful video. But it wouldn't be bad to add an option in which the factory settings are returned, in case of a possible error.

Hello. Do you know how to change the starting temperature for webasto heating. Origin is starting at 3° and below. Aux webasto heating. I would like to change this temperature. Thank you

      @CheckEnginePlusMinus Před 24 dny

Meaby try this : 1. Open VCDS and select “Select Control Module”.
      2. Navigate to “08-Auto HVAC” or the specific module for auxiliary heating.
      3. Click on “Adaptation - 10”.
      4. Search for the adaptation channel that controls the activation temperature for the Webasto heating system. This might be labeled something like “Temperature threshold for auxiliary heater” or similar.
      5. Change the adaptation value to the desired temperature. For instance, if the default setting is 3°C, change it to a higher value like 5°C or as needed.
      6. Save the new setting and exit the adaptation menu.
      7. Conduct a full system scan to ensure no errors have occurred due to the changes.
      8. Test the system to make sure the Webasto heater now activates at the new set temperature.

Make sure the car is on level ground and that the suspension is settled
      Procedure 1
      1. Select Xenon range control module @ address hex55
      2. Select Basic Settings
      3. Select Basic headlamp setting and start the procedure
      4. This is where you would adjust the headlights using their manual adjusting screws as referenced against a suitable aiming target - but in your case go to the next step
Wait a period of time (suggest 3 seconds) - then stop the procedure
      1. Procedure 2 (still in Basic settings in hex55 module)
      2. Select Acknowledge basic setting and start the procedure
      3. The reference settings from Procedure 1 above should now be "recorded" in the module
Wait a period of time (suggest 3 seconds)- then stop the procedure
Back-out of the module, clear any error codes and exit the software (don't forget to disconnect the dongle)

I have VW Scirocco MK3 2011, how could I deactivate the 3rd tail light which was performing both tail light & brake light? The point is I bought the LED strobe light, which I'd to replace existing halogen one. After replacing the strobe brake light works fine, but then tail light is on, the strobe brake light is flickering... I do not know how to put some load resistance in, so I thought if I could deactivate the tail light function while brake light is still active, it would serve my need..

      @CheckEnginePlusMinus Před 25 dny +1

To resolve the issue with the third tail light and strobe brake light on your VW Scirocco MK3 2011, you can use VCDS (VAG-COM Diagnostic System) for coding. Here is a step-by-step guide:
      1. Connect VCDS to your car:
      • Plug the VCDS cable into the OBD-II port of your car.
      • Connect the other end of the cable to your laptop.
      2. Open VCDS Software:
      • Launch the VCDS software on your laptop.
      3. Access the Central Electronics Module:
      • Select “Select Control Module.”
      • Choose “09-Cent. Elect.”
      4. Adaptation Settings:
      • Click on “Adaptation - 10.”
      • Search for the adaptation channel related to the tail light function. It might be listed as “Leuchte23SL HLC10” or similar, depending on your car’s specific setup.
      5. Deactivate Tail Light Function:
      • Find the setting for the tail light function (look for something like “Light Function A” or “Light Function B”).
      • Change the value to “not active” or a similar setting that indicates the function is deactivated.
      6. Save the Changes:
      • Click “Do It!” to save the changes.
