    Thanks for the review, AMD's new CPU naming convention is confusing indeed! I purchased the Beelink SER6 Pro 7735HS (prebuilt 500GB / 32GB), mainly with help of your review of the Beelink SER6 Pro 6800H model (the CPUs are almost identical from my research), but then Minisforum announced this model a week later, so was curious to see how this one performed. Been really happy with my SER6 Pro, even more so that I got it before they increased the price (by a good £140 GBP). Keep up the great work, you're helping thousands (hopefully one day millions!) of people like me making the right choice for these mini-PC purchases =)

    Thanks for the review and great to learn thermal throttling is still an issue! Yeah, I wish AMD could keep a consistent naming scheme for more than 2 generations.

    Nice to see an honest review, instead of an Every Thing is Awesome paid promotion like from some other "reviewers", or should I say promoters.
    I was wondering if you have any idea when the 7040 series with RDNA 3 might be coming to minis? I'm guessing since it's only now just being released on laptops then it'll probably be another 6 months till it's in minis. But you're the pro so your guess is better than mine!😉

    Sounds like drilling a bunch of holes in the bottom of the plastic cover is what it could benefit from. Someone could make a killing with a custom cover that gives the needed extra ventilation
    With the stand, I'd mount it in the stand or vertical anyways.

    I had a 690, It would randomly crash, I ended up sending it back to amazon and got the Beelink gtr6, I still recommend the amd ryzen 6900 for gaming, because the integrated GPU runs at 2400Mhz, in comparison to 2200Mhz on 7735hs.

    When your mini is drawing almost a 100W, I see no way to cool that effectively in such a small formfactor without a lot of noise. I see that as a problem of current mini manufacturers not choosing the AMD U series for their minis. I am curious if ASUS will also put their custom AMD APU for their Ally handheld in their next generation minis...

    What is overheating is the ram it gets really hot and the mini pc start to throttle down I try with diff ent rams already and same issue my only fix was opening the case and putting a fan Were the ram is. That fix the issue from 80+ degrees to no more than 60 from the point on the performance is stable I connect the fan to in external cable but I see 3 pins in the motherboard i have been trying to figure out if that is for a fan do you have any idea about It?

    Thanks for this excellent review ! I'm interested in buying this mini-Pc (after the EQ12 with a N100 wich is a very good 24/7 Plex Server ;-) ). Do the thermal problems appear only during games or are there present during a video conversion with Handbrake for example ? I would use it for working, a very little gaming and video encoding. I was looking also for the Beelink SER6, but there are no barebone, less ports and no 2.5Gbps, and I already have the SSD Nvme and 2,5" SSD... Or an Intel I7 1360P Nuc ?

    • @Robtech

    When it arrives I have to add things myself? Those components, ram and storage, do they come with the machine? And do I have to separately buy Windows etc?
    Basically, how much does the user have to do once the machine arrives before playing.
    Is it not like regular laptops with evertthing ready to go?
    Apologies if this is a silly question, I'm trying to learn.

    • @Robtech
      @Robtech  Před rokem +1

      If you buy it with memory and storage it comes with Windows 11 Pro and is ready to go, like a laptop. So for you, the basic option would be 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD. Or if you want more memory and storage you can select those.

    I've been looking forward to this review, but I'm not sure why (other than liking Rob's reviews) as it sure feels like the 7735HS is a marketing gimmick, and it's just not that different (and in some ways it looks like a slight downgrade from the 6900), and they make no effort (oops, I forget the heat sink attached to plastic) to cool anything but the CPU. To be fair, they have finally learned to glue the damned silicone thingie to the metal stand. I keep hoping that for other than the very low end mini's that more of those little 40mm fans in the SSD/RAM space will appear.
