    There is good money in cam girls for Twitch, so Twitch has a financial interest in doing as little as they can about it.
    I can see a tidal wave ( in a kitty pool) of cam girls coming to Twitch in the near future.

    I could easily do this. Make bank. But I don’t because I have a son, this would effect his future. Secondly because I have a conscious, bad karma comes from bad intent. Thirdly I have shame. Just putting in my two cents.

    I think the main argument should be the hypocrisy of twitches rules because people have been banned for a lot less & at times no reason at all (just like xqc said). You can even make an argument that it can impact other female streamers indirectly because sex sells or because of the negative association to an extend. I just don't agree with the moral argument of "think of the children" since the average audience is older on twitch than it is on CZcams with the youngest demographic maybe being middle-school age

    • @coke2679
      @coke2679 Před 3 lety

      Where do you get the idea from that the average youtube audience is younger that twitch? I'd be very surprised if that's true, it makes no sense. Twitch is marketed specifically to a younger audience, youtube is not.

    • @austin_bennett
      @austin_bennett Před 3 lety +1

      @@coke2679 ok explain why cocomelon, Ryan's Toys & numerous other channels blew up because of children either directly or indirectly.
      I've been here since the early years of YT & yes initially YT wasn't ment for kids but a kid definitely could find entertainment that didn't pander to them.
      It's debatable when the switch happened but the CZcams algorithm was deliberately calibrated to promote "family friendly content" which includes any children's content. It got so bad that numerous scandals occurred but the most common ones fell specifically under the Elsa Gate umbrella.
      Hell if you want a more direct example of CZcams marketing to kids there's literally a CZcams kids app.
      Twitch on the other hand was marketed as a gaming 1st streaming site (when it 1st launched) & while you can argue the age demographic could be as low as middle-school overall Twitch was & still kinda is comparable to classic CZcams: the content was entertaining for everyone & naturally kids were also entertained especially if they watch popular kids games like minecraft & Fortnite.
      However if you argue that hot tub streams should be banned because "think of the children" I'm gonna have to disagree on multiple levels HOWEVER if you're gonna say people should be banned because they violate TOS that's more understandable.

      @@austin_bennett Ok, so you've just made that up with no evidence.
      Why do you think some YT channel made for kids getting a lot of subs proves that average age of a YT user is lower? That is some bad reasoning, I don't even know where to beginn.
      Also YT Kids is not YT, these are 2 different apps. Two different products. As matter of fact it's an attempt of redirecting younger kids to a different plattform, one specifically and exclusively made for children.
      Twitch on the other hand is pretty much exclusively for young people. Nobody in his 50s and up is going to watch twitch, but they might watch some news or gun or whatever channel on youtube.

      @@coke2679 hold on a second. Why the fuck do I need to cite my sources like this is one of my fucking college classes but you can make general statements & that be good enough? Like are you a Just Destiny clone lol.
      I agree that CZcams has a much broader & more diverse library of content that appeals to any age demographic, just like it did back in the day, however what CZcams promotes on trending or in the algorithm vs what I personally watch is completely different. Prior to the FTC giving CZcams a fine for advertising & collecting data on children more mature channels get their viewership numbers get severely reduced (or even plateau) from general discovery & / or even notifications if it gets demonetized.
      However because this isn't good enough for you CZcams themselves bragged about the number of children that visit the website during an investor meeting (if my memory is correct) & it got leaked to the public. Many creators covered this news because the FTC fined CZcams & Google $170 million for child privacy violations.
      This fine resulted in sweeping changes to the platform, including the algorithm & monetization system. To be clear it hasn't stopped kid friendly content from being made it's just made it not profitable anymore hence why scummy creators skirt the system by making content that would appeal to kids in a less obvious way so they can still make money (3 am channels are commonly used as an example).
      There's a great video called CZcams's dirty little secret by Gokanaru which has a dedicated section talking about some of the things I mentioned regarding kids on the platform but the video was made before the FTC fined CZcams so some of the information is outdated but still useful since it did document things such as Elsa Gate & people exploiting the advertisement favorability of kids channels.
      To bring this back to twitch what specifically about twitch made it target a younger demographic & how young are we talking? Are we talking about elementary school aged kids or younger? To be honest I can be more direct by simply asking 2 questions: why should twitch be a better babysitter than the people who are supposed to parent their children & shouldn't parents keep an eye on the content their kid watches?
      If the parents are fine with their kid watching hot tub streams doesn't that say more about the parents. Even if the kid watches content like this secretly the solution loops back to "twitch should enforce the explicit content rule it has in it's TOS" which, let's be honest, twitch has a history of unevenly enforcing its rules.

      Not only that but twitch often makes obvious mistakes when it comes to issuing bans (for example Voyboy or Destiny some time ago).
      But mainly yes, this is just hypocrisy: hot tub meta is an INTRINSICALLY sexual content and no one in the right state of mind can argue that.
