Even now there's still many mystery and questions that need to be answered and I find that your video are really informative by answering many mystery's but still entertaining at the same time. The zone has some characteristics of an alive creature, I think it is kinda responsible for the destruction of c-contiousness since it gave scar the power of surviving emissions temporarily and disrupted strelok's death truck, I believe that the zone doesn't want to be controlled.
Yeah that's possible. Some scrapped ideas for Clear Sky mention something very similar.
And given how the zone gets more aggressive as duty attacks it, trying to push it back, so it pushed back harder, I think there's a lot of credence to the idea the zone is more alive than people think

Yes, indeed.
So before 2006, there were no emissions, so the noosphere did not accumulate this energy that needed to be dissipated. But then the C-Consciousness messed with it and now it does. I wonder if the emissions in Clear Sky were not just more frequent, but also stronger, because the C-Consciousness would know how to feed more energy into the noosphere wound.

I always wondered if the actual blowout is a physical manifestation or if its all in stalkers minds. I mean a blowout with that much force would make the surrounding areas look like Tunguska.
Well it seems to be both, with physical and psychic consequences. Some buildings actually seem to have collapsed because of emissions, like the bridge in Cordon or the flea market in the Garbage.

Great video! You could have use what strelok said in stalker anomaly, I know it's not a game made by devs but it's pretty interesting, he said something about gases accumulating or something, I don't really remember.

Actually first emission spawned the zone, there are many dates of it, someone found out, multiple dates were a typo made by devs.
According to the PDA Encyclopedia, old design documents and Clear Sky's website, the disaster happened in 2 stages:
First there was an explosion and an earthquake from the power plant (on April 12, 2006); then there was an emission which grew the Zone by five kilometers (probably on June 10, 2006).
On several occasions the year of 2008 is mentioned which I do believe is a mistake.

Now, I ask myself how scar survived the emission in clear sky since emissions are not as heavy influenced psy and also have impact and act like a explosion... so how does he survive both psy and an "explosion"
Unfortunately, we don't really know. In Call of Pripyat there is a medicine that allows to survive emissions, so perhaps his brain can reproduce an effect similar to this drug.
I just got an idea, what if there was a medieval fantasy game that was like Stalker but also had Lovecraftian or Half Life-like elements to explain the anomalous stuff in it? I imagine it'd be a lot like Dark Souls but first person tbh.
That would be interesting.

Emissions are natural, but the C-Consciousness can more or less control when they happen.

If we believe the ending of Shadow of Chernobyl, it should have been destroyed by Strelok, but maybe all of this was an illusion, that's why I'm not taking it for granted. And yeah I guess we'll see it in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 !

Im itching my neck like a junkie waiting on stalker heart of Chernobyl. I cant stop playing CS and CoP. SoC was great too but its showing its age a bit too much for me
I bought the trilogy on Xbox One. It's the first time after like 10 years that i played vanilla games and I love it.

Its crazy how this game is actually way more interesting and actually insanely better than both books stalker and the picnic . Both those books are so piss poor made and the movie stalker was trash and boring. But this game explains everything and makes it interesting. So sad that the russiabs who made rhe stalker movie died from radiation poiisoning. What a waste of kife maing a horrible movie that literally copied directly american sci fi movies made 20 years prior. Earth stood still is one blatabtky obvious stolen idea for stalker. Theb the book the sphere. Which was literallt written in the 60's but published the 80's. Stalker abd oicnic literally stole american sci fi and tried to make a horrible horrible piss poor book abd movie based directly on them both.
