Why no Kristin Hersh , Tanya Donelly KD Lang or Liz Phair though.. ? The talent pool they had available to draw from during the time is inconceivable today.. They proved the intended point... female singer songwriters and musicians had the respect and commercial gravity required to draw in audiences - shattering a few industry dogmas and paving the way for other female artists to forgo the pairings with male artists out of obligation rather than merit or choice.
