COVERING THE NUMBERS | Rifle Mule Deer

- I am heading into some new country to do some exploring with a goal to find solid buck. I found a good amount of hunting pressure, but was able to locate a plenty of critters to entertain me. My goal was to find the biggest buck I could by covering the numbers and staying mobile. I hiked many miles and drove about every road I could. It came down to the wire, but follow along in the video and see how it goes down!

Great job and great buck!🇺🇸🦌
Thank you so much!
I drew a muzzleloader rut hunt out of like 24 tags in Idaho. Didn’t get out because of family stuff. Missed opportunity to watch the bucks come out of hiding to find dates. Seems like a lot of deer in that area but seems like a lot of hunters for a rifle rut hunt. Probably a popular part of the unit. Anyway thanks for sharing the adventure. I love watching the behavior. You worked hard. You deserved it. Nice buck.
Oh bummer! Yep that’s public land for you!
Thank you so much!
Awesome video so much hard work paid off I was worried you wouldn’t find him great buck! Cant wait for the next one keep it up!
Thank you much! Yes sir it paid off!
When packing out your deer in an area with heavy hunting pressure it is safer to point the antler tines down to reduce their visibility to other hunters.
Great buck and video after alot of hard hiking looks like....damn, you got into a load of animals. Nice work !
Thank you! It was a ton of hiking, but it paid off! Thanks again!
Kudos to you for pulling that off DIY. Packing out a full bodied buck is hard enough alone without stopping and setting up cameras on the way out. Next time.... more footage of wild nikkid hippies at the hot springs!
Thank you much! 🤣 maybe next time there will be some!
@@TylerTurco 🤞
Great buck, way to get the shot on video! Thanks for video!
Thank you! It can be tough filming solo. I missed the second shot but got what I could!
Awesome video and really nice buck! Nothing like chasing Muleys.
Thank you! You're right about that!!
Awesome stuff! 👌 😊
Thank you!
Great video. Very entertaining. You found a ton of animals
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Lots of hiking and glassing sure helped find them!
Nice job!
Thank you!
Way to stick after it!! 👊🏻👊🏻
Some video tips to take your video to the next level… more b roll footage and less talking or use the talking voice over for b roll footage. Don’t show a rando clip of an eagle on your way to the buck 🤣 and take video of your harvest after the shot. There was almost no footage of your deer on the ground. People wanna see your buck! You don’t necessarily have to do a cheese recap of the hunt but something is better than nothing! Otherwise great job man! Love seeing your success!
Great stuff!
Thank you!
Congrats great buck 🙌
Thank you!
Man! Beautiful Buck!
Just found your channel! You did what it took to locate yourself a shooter, and got it done! Nice job. Thanks for sharing! 👍👊
Its encouraging to see/hear that you hadn't been to a few of the locations. Give a potential "first-timer" like me hopes & ideas on what it takes. I've killed tons of whitetail bucks(Alabama) but really want to plan a Mule deer trip in the next year or two. My truck set-up is similar to yours...and my style hunting is as well.
'Preciate it! 👊
Thank you so much! Just got to get out there and grind!
Great video, really enjoyed it! What would you say your best tip is for finding deer in October?
Thank you, glad you did!
As you could see in this film some of the videos of deer were poor quality and that’s because those deer were at extremely long distances. My tip and strategy on this hunt was to get to as many glassing points as possible and glass as far as I could. It’s tough and those bigger bucks were barely moving but you can catch them in little pockets if you’re in the right spot at the right time. Just takes a lot of persistence!
That didn’t look like the same rack as the buck shot from 450 yards.
Same buck! It had a graze mark on its back from the first shot.
More than grazed that deer the first shot. Deer don’t drop and lose leg function when grazed.
I thought I spined him too, but when I got over there he was running like he wasn’t hurt.
Great buck yes but it's dead, Sad!!
Thanks! Better way to than getting eating alive by coyotes.
Is this a draw tag hunt?
Solid buck brother!
