I believe this version is by Roy Rogers.

Why they call that the Shag and not the Waddle baffles me? Way too much foot movement and not enough posture and shoulder movement. The foot work just takes away from what dancing is? Good dancing is standing erect shoulders back thrusting your chest out. Half the time they are almost bent over! Sorry not for me.
You know Don, I always tell whoever that whenever one bothers to comment take your time and just don't shoot off your mouth and always try to be NICE ;) Other than that I guess your words are wasted since they happen to be the king and queen of shag where as YOU ????? ummmm let's see...And also remember in this case even being nice is acknowledging experts on this particular dance not to mention pure joyful rythmn. And just incase you think you know better consider this.: Even I have won serveral dance competitions and yet find them SIMPLY AWESOME and they truly ARE especially that awesome footwork, without a doubt CHAMPS if you dont look through jaundiced eyes. Have a good day and life and do learn to be nice even in the worst of times.

To each his own.........they are in the Shaggers Hall of Fame for a reason. They are the greatest!! It’s call the Shag because that’s what it is. I’m from the North East & ever since it appeared on my CZcams feed, I enjoy watching all the great Shaggers......Ellen Taylor, Sam West, Brenner Goree, Autumn Jones, to name a few. I had never heard of it before. SiriusXm has a Shag music channel.
I love it and I love watching them!
