1:19 as a flute player, this part is AMAZING and honestly i love the buildup and crescendo
I play the marimba part for this, THOSE FEW MEASURES ARE AWESOME. Also measure 71 to 83 or so is so cool
Dont mind me, just jumping in between chimes, bells, and vibes. Dont mind me running around in the back. Also dont mind the other mallet percussionist who stays on marimba
Penguin Paridise literally me. We aren’t playing this song, but I’m the only mallet percussionist worth a damn in my band who ever actually tries
You are literally me right now. Seriously, I play Bells, Chimes, Then Vibe. Then we have the girl in the corner of the band room who is supposed to play Marimba, but she's to busy texting her boyfriend.
Love this song. I regret throwing away all my Middle School music😭😭
This was my last middle school song, and corna had to cancel LGPE and the concert😭😭😭😭 I still play it today and am making it better with technical support of myself
I absolutely love the Timpani part 😍😍😍😍 timps are the best!!
When I played this song my 7th grade year of middle school during All County, I was 9th chair trombone. I was so nervous that I completely bombed my audition. In 1 year, I jumped up to 3rd chair. Then all of high school my band director made me sign up for All county and All State, but I let my nervousness get the best of me and I couldn’t audition, I couldn’t even drive myself to the auditions. He, then later on she (we got a new band director my senior year) told me that with out a doubt, I would have made at the least 5th chair. Which that made me feel better, but I just couldn’t do it. I was first chair trombone my senior year, but I always asked for second part because that’s what I was most comfortable playing with.
Abby Mihelic I have a similar story. I was like last year trumpet last hear then I jumped tremendously. I auditioned for all state and made it in! But the corona got it cancelled. I cried so hard because of it. This piece was one of the last ones I got to play in an honor band before corona
I have to preform this for all county this year(I'm also playing the trombone)and I'm terrified just looking at the sheets of music lmao
@@elised7915 I was 11 chair trumpet this year in the concert band and I jumped up to 5th chair in my school's wind ensemble(high band), only the 2nd chair, 3rd chair and me from concert band moved up
I played this right before covid, it was a shame we never finished it. i was percussion and i loved how this piece doesn’t forget about percussion unlike other middle school pieces
I'm one of two snares playing this piece and it is great.
Playing this in 7th grade band love the song. Second chair flute ❤️
I love how for like 20 measures the flutes and saxes has that repeated 8th note thing as the brass crescendos to make it more serious
Clarinet 1 for the win!!!! I really really really like this song❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm a trombonist and I played this 2 years ago lmao. My school doesn't do chairs but I generally have 1st and sometimes 2nd.
Playing this a couple months ago for the winter concert at my school... good memories...
I played 3rd clarinet on this piece and I still love it
This song is just amazing. Not sure how else to put it. Wow.
I play 2nd sax on this piece and irs one of my favorite songs in band this year
So we got this before quarantine and I learn based on listening to others... this helps so much 😄
My high school band is playing this song I love it
I remember all the memories getting so lit to this
1st clarinet
Brian Urcino me too but counting when sight reading sucks in this song lol
Clarinet 1 more like gay am I right fellow kids *hits the Extra sized walrus wauiluigh dab*
I'm playing this in South High School Marching Band in Wichita Kansas. I'm a Flute player.
alexyss coleman I'm playing it at alameda high school in Denver and I play baritone
I'm playing this for Pioneer League in El Dorado Kansas!!! I'm in 8th grade and go to Derby!!!
0:50 i just love how the woodwinds play a part, and then the brass answer back with the same response
I loved playing this
the flutes and saxes started out real slow in the building section realized it and sped up real quick impressive
I like the trumpets. I'm a 4th chair trumpet player.
+Donnie Gingry good for you. that doesn't give you the authority to pick on people you don't know. that person could've been a beginner. don't go hurting people's feelings. thanks. continue with your clarineting
I feel so sorry for you. Are you a beginner? I'm a 1st chair clarinet, but yet there are only 2 clarinets in my group. XDXD
I was going to play this for my final concert in middle school but it got cancelled because of COVID
This song is the best song I have for my spring concert at my middle school (2020 January I play Flute)
Can a tenor sax player be lead saxophone in a jazz ensemble? In my jazz ensemble, there are 3 saxes (4 pretty soon), and I've been in there the longest and have better skills than the rest of the saxophones (even though I only have been playing sax for 2 full years). And by the way, there are 2 tenors and an alto in my group (a bari sax pretty soon). Do you think a tenor sax can be lead sax?
Generally no, Generally the first alto is the lead player. I guess if there were no lead alto then it would be lead tenor.
Me: bad at sight reading
Band teacher: okay pull out the new song
Also me: *chuckles* I’m in danger
(I’m one of TwO trumpets in our band uwu)
this is the best thing we play in our band, I play trombone
I was supposed to play this with my school band last April... but then COVID
it is currently Saturday the 21st and i have my symphonic band concert (10th grade) on the 25th where im playing clarinet on this piece ill comment back here in a few days and tell how it went
Second Trombone, and it still doesn't sound great without the percussion. (idk I love percussion as much as I love my own instrument) also I'm doing this for LGPE pray for my soul
Just had full ensemble practice.
I love measure 51! My best friend (I've known her for 7 years) is a saxophone and we love this piece
Going to a cadet band competition with this! (idk yet) trumpet! wish me luck :D
My First Look on this was today and i‘m worried but aswell challanged to work with this nice sheet of music as an Mallet Player. This is going to be a hard but fun time till december 💀
I played this for my October concert, I played marimba on it ❤❤❤
The 3/4 1:48 is my favorite part( marimba player in this song)
Currently practicing this for middle school district band. This song is fuckin amazing.
Played snare for this, and we got a bit fast out of my comfort zone but still nailed it lmao
playing this in band. I'm a 3rd trumpet
I’m going to be playing this for the spring concert this year and I’m 2nd Trumpet
Imma 2nd clarinet, I love dis song
Anyone a tuba here. Nope? Just me? Ok then
I am so lonely😭
we have one tuba in my band but we do have a baritone and a bass clarinet and baritone sax to play the same stuff sometimes
i miss playing this for honors band:(
I'm 3rd chair in the saxophone section. Go saxes!
There is this one kid who SUCKS at playing the saxophone(Can't even steady his airstream) And he's 2nd chair making me 3rd chair. It makes me really angry because I have heard him playing, he's heard me and we both know i'm better.(What's also worse is that he has a crush on me -_-)
taking this piece to a marching band competition as 1st trumpet, we're taking home first place!
1:55 as a tuba player, this part is hella fun and cool 😂
Playing this for region 19 on Saturday i have 5 days to learner it by myself and I'm a Baritone player go queens hornets
This is great when I played it in. Nelenentry school we perfected it my high school couldn’t even play this so I ended up going to a different school lmao
I'm playing this for NYSBDA
Makes me miss symphonic orchestra from middle school love the song to !!$;$-#8#8#
I was send here by a friend I do not regret very nice
Just a ordinary second violin passing by..
James Smith that can't really happen.we have to keep it pointing straight and a little lower
@@elito7023 Band is orchestra without strings ( not marching or jazz though)
This song was always superior 😼
I played this at hummingbird music camp euphonium
MEASURE 51 IS AMAZING ECHO
Tenor sax is pretty fun to play on this.
Especially since I'm the only one
I play Tenor aswell. There are 4 of us but soon one of them is moving to Bassoon. I sit in 2nd chair and am the only girl...
@@ciaradominguez1468 oh man. If only we had that many people in our band. We have like... 20 I think? We lost a lot of people for silly reasons
@@jaceritchie7948 Hey, I know a marching band with 10 people. We have 60 people in our symphonic band and we ended up NOT playing this for a festival. I rather have a smaller band that listens and with people that know what there doing than a bigger band that can't get their crap together...
@@ciaradominguez1468 hah. Agreed. Its just a little disheartening to see people who stayed with us for so long leave for silly things
Playing this in Ryle High School band and love playing it
Like if you agree
I think this could sound neat on the electric guitar with distortion
On the piece, it says to play the tambourine with sticks, meaning you would need to do it with one hand and if your chops aren't fast enough, it would hurt real bad lol. So me, playing crash cymbals and having a break there, I would grab the tambourine and hold it up for the guy next to me so he could use two sticks :') it was great but ya do whatcha gotta do lmao
1:24 is so good
Percussion either makes a band or ruins it, the percussion in this band makes the song better without a doubt.
when we played this song us percussionist were in time but the saxophones kept dragging or rushing in their feature
最初のチャイム叩きました〜懐かしい
Sounds very similar to his other piece Flight of the Thunderbird
I have to learn this song in 58 minutes.
@@tenzorex Welp I managed to teach myself this one but couldn’t get the other three down and well, I just ended up not going. It was just a high school football game, I didn’t have to attend as I’m in Junior High and it was required.
@@tonyflamingo8963 Dang, I have this song and some others for my local community band and it sounds amazing, feelsbad abt not being able to get those down tho
I'm playing this in my school I'm 1st chair tuba
Rainbow Cupcake finally someone who is tuba!!! I finally found you fellow tuba brother!!!!
It’s a very similar to Flight Of The Thunderbird
😊
just got this late yesterday. hello future 11:30 pm wed march 30 2022
I played this last year for 7th grade...I rocked second part clarinet Oof 🤣🤣🤣💜💜
Thinmint Can’t Do It I'm also 7th grade second clarinet and we recently played this. What a coincidence😂
@@yaboicatman4611 I’m so jealous i wish i could do back to playing songs like this 😭👎🏼
sounds like sims music and i love it lol
anybody in percussion in here or just me??
We are playing this in our schools wind ensemble. When we first started, there were not enough percussionists signed up, so I somehow ended up learning the chime part, bell part, xylophone marimba and vibraphone part. And somehow played the important parts all at once. So yeah a lot of running lol
pokiyapa I am, I’m playing the marimba part. It is not that hard lol
Lol I have to play snare and timpani and record it since the snare player is quarantining
Alto sax
I am first chair Bb Contrabass clarinet dub on them(Lmao only one Bb Contrabass Clarinet in my band)
Reminds me of Flight Of The Thunder bird
I play snare. That was a fun day.
# Base Drum
I play Mellophone for this agh
1st chair euph
