@@AnthonyDutter Well, new cheap tires are acutally often very bad i rainy conditions so they can be slippery. But old tires often get hard and will last longer and give less traction, so a set of old tires that are a little bit worn could be a good thing. In rain you have very little wear. I had a rainy day with my driftcar with ALOT of drifting all day and did not swap tires at all. And that car has over 300hp and should use more tires :)

I got an E46 Compact 318ti. Automatic gearbox. I am wondering if this ZF can be modified to remove forced upshifting in manual mode. That would be a huge improvement, without actually having to replace a huge expensive component. I'm just looking to make the car better on the cheap, not really creating a dedicated drifter. No control over upshift could actually lead to dangerous situations, so it's just mind boggling they force this feature in a "driver's car".
