I Iove the way Matt just goes on about his way. He seems to be a genuinely patient man!!!
I don’t think I will ever forget “ coconut taste like toenail clippings” that had me cracking up 🤣 love your popsicle breaks hahahahahahah
Well he said the shaved coconut LOOKED like them, not that they tasted like ;-)
LOL it was so funny.
I will never look at coconut in The same way again. Desiccated coconut does actually look like toenail clippings. Thanks Matt. 🤭
Oh my goodness thank you for taking care of your grandma
I just love seeing you and Matt together. What sweethearts!!🥰
Thank you for your gifts of yourself and your thoughts. A woman of peace.
Great video! The toenail and coconut though lol So funny.
Wow Matt sure is so pretty and bright no wonder all the bees are attracted to it it's a pretty color
Your husband is super funny and such a hard worker.
The popsicle segments are awesome!!
Oh Mercy.. those outshine bars are so good..
you should introduce granny! and her working in the garden! would be a memory!
I so enjoy your popsicle breaks. I feel like part of the family. All I need is a popsicle. Love your videos.
Matt seems like such a kind man.
Matt is such a hoot! Your vids. are always so informative, fun & entertaining!
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing!
late watching tonight. just got home from church .love your garden. it's so gorgeous.
I love to hear the birds in the background💕🙏🏻
Great Video ! Blessings to you both..
I really enjoy watching your popsicle breaks….lol..Love Matt’s humor, too…I’m glad your garden is doing well & hope you get a bit of rain!
My mother grew 4 o’ clocks. They really do bloom in the evening. We loved waiting for them in the evening to open.
Wonderful. God bless.
🥥 coconut favorite! Those freezer bars are delectable!
My enjoyment of your blueberry ideas chat included Matt surprising you with a spontaneous sweet kiss! Seemed like an ideal gesture for such an amiable moment in reviewing simple pleasures👩❤️💋👨
Comin by your channel is a breath of fresh air! Thank you for all you do☺️
You are so kind-thank you 😀
@@CelebratingAppalachia Tipper, I just recently got stung by a bumblebee for the first time in my life. I was walking through the grass in my front yard in my sandals. A blade of grass got stuck between my toes and as I tried to get it out, a black bumblebee was stuck along with it and was getting mommicked, so it stung me on the bottom of my toe. Hurt like the devil! I hadn't even known it was there till it happened.
This is all very interesting to me. Now that I’m older, I really appreciate those who came before us. I always wonder who was walking around, riding horses, tending gardens right where I am 100-200 years ago. How our ancestors figured out all of this gardening stuff. How they had the forethought to save and pass down the seeds. It’s all very amazing! God bless you and your family. ♥️
You are not the only one. I think about this kind of thing often.
Oh yea, I think about that often as well. 👍🏻🙌🏻
And all other things, cooking and baking too. No measuring cups , weight scales, recipes, CZcams and food network shows. My grandma and mom cooked and baked strictly from memory. By feel and eyesight . Can you imagine how spoiled we are? And yet people still have problems doing any of this. To much trouble they say, sad. My Grandparents bought a dairy farm in Wisconsin in 1955, could barely speak English, nor read and write. Worked it for nearly 40 years, that’s success. Wish I was still there now.
If time travel were possible, I would LOVE to go back in time and watch our ancestors live!
@@clsieczka oh, yes, spoiled for sure! My great grandparents came to the US from Poland and spoke no English. My other great grandmother came to the US, by herself, at age 19. The bravery, determination and work ethic these people had amazes me!
It also makes me wonder what was happening in the “Old Country” that made them want to pack up and leave and possibly never see family again.
🤣🤣🤣I can't UNHEAR that, Matt!
'I used to think those slivers looked like toenail clippins'.
Even though it was my Papaw's favorite, I don't particularly like coconut, and you just gave me a WHOLE new reason to continue my disdain."🤦🏼♀️😵💫🤣🤣
🤭
Matt looks like pollen with all of that yellow 😀🐝🐝🐝
Blueberry muffins, blueberry pie, and blueberries on my oatmeal are my favourites. Thanks Tipper and Matt. I'm loving the chats at the end of your videos.
GOOD TO HEAR YA PRONOUNCE OKRA CORRECTELY. "OAKRIE"
I sooo love your garden updates with you and Matt!! It's so calming, encouraging, and brings me back to my childhood in Appalachia. Thank you!!! ❤
I really envy your lifestyle. The older I get the more I appreciate how to live more frugally and off of the land. I know it has taken you years to learn the types of plants you grow and what kind of environment works best for a successful harvest. You live in such a beautiful area of the country and have made such a beautiful home for yourselves and your girls!
Not much better you can have given to you than seeds!💚 Yes, I have had those coconut popsicles for years. Love them!!! This was the first time you finished yours before Matt! 😁 Maybe he really doesn't like coconut! Haha! Please say hello and God bless to your lovely, dear mama!💖🙏🤗 Have a Great week!🏵️
Nice Garden!
The bees must think his shirt is a flower........you know.......it's the color of flowers :)
I just watched the video where Matt and the girls drove the 1963 car. The way the girls always seem to be so happy to be a around you and Matt is amazing!!! All I can say is you both took care in every step of their raising. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the kind words!! And for watching 😀
I think it’s time for a Granny video! We haven’t seen her in a while.
Miss her.
❤️
Blueberry n dumplings are wonderful
Hi Tipper. 😁 Ive been watching and enjoying y'all and the girls for a while. I just noticed recently Matt is really coming to life in the videos. I think we see where Katie gets IT from. 😂😂😂 I love it! Teasin and laughin is the best.
Thank you! Yes Katie is a lot like her daddy 😀
I always enjoy the garden update, thank you Tipper. I'm with you on watermelon Tipper, I never get tired of it.
Your garden is beautiful.... I wish had a garden. I live in the city in a building, there's no area to gardening. Matt made me laugh about the coconut 🥥 🤣 😂. Everytime I eat anything coconut I'm always going to remember what Matt said. 🤣😂I truly enjoy watching your video's.... Thank You both kindly.. You and Matt are amazing people. Bless you all always 🙏
😀 Thank you for the kind words!!
@@CelebratingAppalachia you're very welcome!
Last night we had fresh corn on the cob, boiled okra, squash steamed & mashed potatoes. We love the veg !!
Yum!
You might buy a rubber snake or two and put them up high in your blueberry bushes, and move them around some every few days to scare the birds away.
Our 4 o’clock flowers came back as volunteers this year from a wildflower mix last year and are huge! Pink, yellow, and white, had to pull some up because we couldn’t get up the steps for them. Had no idea what they were until we scanned them on a plant identification app, really got a big beautiful plant for little to no effort with those!
Your garden is doing well ms tipper ☺️
I have got to get some popsicles..you guys make it look so good...and you have to admit, the Deer Hunter does have a way with words...Bees and Matt....maybe he is sweet????....God Bless
I love garlic chives. Flowers are beautiful. Honey bees love them.
I grow both onion and garlic chives...be careful ...the garlic chives spread kind of like mint. I pull out so much from my raised herb garden. But I do love to use it especially in stir fry. You also might want to soak some of the 4 o'clock seeds to see if it helps with germination. I love the "jungle " you live in ❤
So nice to see seeds from a fellow Canadian. Melon d'eau is just Watermelon in French :)
Thank you!
I love coconut but I’ll never look at it the same way again!😂
I'll never look at coconut the same ever again!!!!🤣🤣🤣
😀
Tipper & Matt that garden is looking good. Matt can have all the bees. I am deathly allergic to them. I enjoy your videos Tipper. What a great couple ya all are.
Best of luck with all your gift seeds. I planted 4 o'clocks a few years ago and they come back every year and the hummingbirds enjoy them. Mine have gotten so tall this year that they are crowding out many of my other flowers in my pollinator garden so don't plant too many of them. I'm just down in Greenville, SC and my little garden is really producing - cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers - enough yesterday that I was able to make a pitcher of gazpacho for tonight's dinner.
Good have a Blessed week Tipper.🙏
Thank you Keith! Hope you have a good one too 😀
We plant everything out in small batches so you always have something coming in, and if you lose a batch it's not the end of the world.
I am hooked on the rattlesnake beans. They seem perfect for our area.
A great method of gardening to use! I just loved the rattle snake beans last year and they are doing really good again this year. I think you're right they love our area 😀
Can't wait to get good tomatoes
Really enjoy your videos. Brings back memories of my childhood in Glen Alpine, NC. Thanks so much for sharing your life with us!
Glad you like them!
Coconut will forever remind me of toe nail clippings! 🤦🤣 And I love coconut 🥥
😀
Blueberry muffins are my favorite. Some of the Family likes them with milk and sugar. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
I agree about the garden work...seems like it's crazy busy at the start and then when you're canning/freezing, etc.
We've just hit that 'lull' here in east-central WV. It's time for swimmin' and popsicles for a while. haha
Best wishes on your garden!
100% agree. Okra, tomatoes, squash, corn & Cornbread. I have to have field peas & snaps & loads of butter
The 4o'clocks reseed well in my part of Appalachia (along the ky/va line) so do cleomes.
We"re LOVING your channel! It's so refreshing! Thank you for sharing your life with us!
My husband and I were watching and thought how nice it would be if during the time lapse segments, you had traditional Appalachian music playing! Just a thought. Thanks again! Johnny & Hope Snow - N. Alabama (at the tail end of the Appalachian Mountains ;)
So very glad you are enjoying it 😀
The watermelon variety would be pronounced like the soda, Mountain Dew! Love the garden videos!
I Love Watermelon too! Cold with Salt!
I got my first cucumber out of my garden today…..I have plenty of bamboo you can use for staking ……they work great
Love your videos like this !
Thank you Anne!
Matt has forever ruined coconut cake for me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😀
Tipper, I just love your on cameras relationship. I love the way Matt listens and reacts to you. I count you’ll blessed
I appreciate that 😀
Coconut=toenail clippings--Matt, I am laughing so hard at that! I love Outshine popsicles, Lime is my favorite but they're all good. Love hearing about all your vegetables. My BFF makes a garden and just had her first tomato yesterday.
I alway eat my first okra pod raw , it is delicious. I ate it today. You guys love gardening it is work, but it is rewarding. Love it!
Well done folks!
"d'eau" just means "of water"... so, melon of water (watermelon.) It's pronounced like "dough." Hey, those four years of French in high school finally paid off!
😀
Hey! I too thought four clocks were beautiful. Planted me some and liked to never got rid of them. Very prolific. They put a black colored carrot looking tuber! That thing grows deep and those darn things spring up every where.
Y’all’s gardens look great Miss Tipper! One thing I’ve always enjoyed about your videos is that while we are watching we feel mine we are right there with y’all. Coconut & toenail’s I couldn’t have explain how I feel about coconut any better than that lol 😂
Thanks for sharing!! 👍🏻🙏🏻😇❤️🙌🏻
Thank you Pastor Lon 😀
Those coconut popsicles also come in a chocolate dipped. They are my favorite but hard to find. Also I have grown those garlic chives . I dried mine and turned them into a powder. Their flowers are gorgeous and smell incredibly sweet . I also plant rattle snake beans. My favorite. Good afternoon from upstate SC.
Really like watching Justin from metcalf mills.

Thanks for the tip.......going to look for the coconut cream popsicles because I do love coconut!! 😋
And I'm predicting that from here on, when I see flaked coconut, I'll be thinking of Matt!!! 😂😂
We planted Purple Bumble Bee tomatoes this year, and they're starting to come in. They're really good too!!! After many, many years of Better Boys, we're branching out a little bit.
I'm also ready for a tomato pie.....past ready, actually.
How will I ever see coconut again with out thinking of them as toenail clippings! He is so funny. I’m amazed that both of u like to do the same thing. I could never get my dear husband to dig a spot for some flowers.
😀 He's so silly! Thank you Rose 😀
O see Matt has his panty jacks on. Don't think I'll EVER forget him calling them that! Two wonderful gardens.
😀
Yes we really need some rain. We’ve had a couple lite showers but need a nice all day soaking rain over here in Scaly.
Got me some blue goose crowders set back. Maybe I'll get some planted before the seeds spoil from laziness.
Maybe even some cow peas when I find that seedbox.
Thanks for the talk! Greetings from PA. No love of coconut here.
Oh my loving this video! Lost my chives, regular ones and my garlic ones. We will be sowing more…have you ever heard of 9 o’clock ‘s it is a bush and is real pretty bloom and you can stand at 9 pm and watch them bloom.. the Same with 4 o’ clocks. You can watch them bloom.
I haven't heard of them 😊 Sounds so pretty
Y'all are the cutest couple. Kind, hardworking and loving. Happy Sunday night.
Your garden looks good I have ate green beans and green tomatoes
I just love listening to y'all. Reminds me of me and my husband, just simple living. And by the way, I've been buying popsicles since y'all got me craving em'🤣
😀 Thank you
Getting 12 dozen peaches & cream today to freeze. I would love some silver queen, it’s hard to find now. Love the videos and popsicles! We love them too! I’ll have to try the coconut ones!
Toenail clippings! LOL! I like coconut, my favorite cake is coconut. Also good in granola.
Your garden looks so pretty there. Thank you for sharing your garden experience and wisdom. I always learn something here. Thank you for another good video, Tipper! 🙌🏼
We have to put this plastic netting you put over the blue berries to keep the birds out.
I mixed my green beans with my pink eye purple hull peas. Being I didn't have enough of both . So mixing made them meal size.
thanks so much
Thank you for watching!
I’ve heard of bitting fingernails but Matt must be very flexible to reach his toes 😂 just funnin with ya Matt
😀
Our peppers are sooo slow. Guess maybe we can try the grow light next year. Sounds like it worked out good for you.
Gardens look so pretty and healthy.
Thank you Sue 😀
Bees like Matt because he's so sweet....
😀
I love watching you and your husband! You could make some blueberry muffins!! And its early yet for silver queen. Our farmers here in Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky says in about 3 weeks.
