We went last week for our first stay at Atwood Lake Campground. Thoroughly impressed with this campground. Excellent facilities, ample trails, large lake, the newly opened camp store has a snack bar and ice cream. We rode bikes from our H loop site to the marina for lunch on Saturday. We will be back. Great job MWS

My family and I have been camping here for awhile now. We ONLY camp on the point. I won't bother camping anywhere else at atwood. You're right on the water so you can park your boat right on your site and the sites right on the end were we camp are huge, probably the biggest in the entire park.
We argued the water sites are the best, however we were not on the water and still had a very nice site! Happy camping and thanks for watching!
As a youngster I spent many summers at Atwood many years ago before all the improvements and growth. Some of the best times of my life there.
I (Christy) had and Aunt & Uncle that worked there years ago planting trees along with other things. I bet you have seen a lot of changes over the years! Glad to hear you have great memories! Thanks so much for watching!

How do you get in State parks when online they are always full?
We try to book pretty far in advance so we can get sites that we like the best. For last minute trips we take what is available or have to look at multiple parks. Thanks for watching!
