In our democratic republic, the voting majority are ultimately responsible for who they get governed by. The exceptions like Republican Ray Suarez of Miami run big cities that flourish socially and economically with low taxes, low crime, and low homelessness. At this point, I honestly think that is part of the agenda. They say that black neighborhoods should only be policed by black police officers. I will admit, I had a bias, even if it was small, in the beginning, but after this horrible journey I don’t care if they are orange, gay, illegal, ugly, beautiful, whatever- just give me someone who is intelligent and empathetic and listens!!!

I'm White, I visit my Doctor every few months after my kidney Transplant plant five year ago. She's from India, I never seen any reason to see another Doctor.

Moreover at the rate of 70,000 doctors quitting per year and only 41,000 new doctors produced every year, soon you will have to see nurse practitioners and physician's assistants (oh, now they are called associates - i.e., 2 years of training to get medical diploma)...

Of course. But the thing is, it will only stop if enough people take actual legal action against it. And as we all know, that can be daunting, time consuming, expensive...and there are no guarantees. I think most people sort of look askance at it and go on with their daily lives unless it affects them directly. Unbelievable! if I were seriously ill and I needed a life-saving surgery, I wouldn't give a crap who the doctor was, what they looked like, if they're white or black, male or female or even gay or straight. I couldn't care less about any of that as long as they were the most qualified person to do so based off of Merit and skill!

Only in the utmost emergency. 100 years ago people got by without doctors unless it was something really bad. At this point, I have to weigh which is the bigger risk: caring for myself and riding it out OR placing myself in the hands of a doctor.

As someone with a daughter who has a rare disease that took 2 years to diagnose, trust me 90% of the doctors you see don’t know what they are doing and will brush you off before listening to anything you say 9X out of 10. We have been to A LOT of doctors, literally I can think of 2 who I felt gave a damn and helped or listened in any way. In other words you already see doctors who don’t know what they are doing, Lord help us if it gets any worse!!!

The sad thing, there's plenty of "nonwhite" doctors in health care that are supremely successful. Indians, Asians, and Middle Eastern representation are all extremely high. But that's not good enough for these people, the Asians are essentially victims of their own success now, and are basically white-adjacent. Absolutely now clue why the Middle Easterners and Indians don't count, you would have to ask them.
What they mean, specifically, is we have to have more of the "we wuz kangs" crowd in order to have the "equality" these people rave about.
when I choose a doctor, it's not based on race. I look at the medical school they attended; how many years they have been practicing; their specialty; reviews and malpractice lawsuits. WTH is wrong with old Bernie??

When you have someone scoring 45% on a test and the grade is a B based on the bell curve of the class I see a problem in the method used to educate our college students.
We refer to DEI in medicine as DIE. This stuff has been around for 40+ years where certain people were tagged as being unable to flunk out, regardless of their test scores or number of failed classes. For most people, if you failed one class, you were out. But one person who passed thru our class became the only person I ever heard of who took 7 years to get a 4 year degree. I wish I could repeat some of the comments professors said about this person.
DEI should be classified as criminal negligence in high risk fields such as piloting, medicine etc.
I've seen so many worthless doctors that need to Google things I know off the top of my head.

One of my sons graduated from a Midwest University medical school and his tests were not graded. He just had to pass the boards.

I’ve noticed that doctors under the age of 50. Are useless, their education is greatly lacking. I had a doctor tell me that my off set broken leg didn’t need surgery “it’s not a weight baring bone “. !! Doctors that are not taught how to set a broke bone, is a shame! In the 50’s and 60’s Boy Scouts were taught how to set a bone! How to splint it! How to wrap a sprained or broken ankle . Doctors today are only taught how to write a prescription. They only do what big pharma tells them. Its all disgusting. Nurses know more than Todays “doctors “ all this has nothing to do with skin color!

I, an older white dude, was diagnosed with heart failure by a black female, and had surgery done on my heart by an Arab man originally from Egypt. All I cared about was things got done right. They were. I never once thought about race. But Bernie wants me to think that way, so I guess I needed a white guy to diagnose and cut into me. According to Bernie, now my odds of living a healthy life post-surgery has been reduced because a like-raced person did not treat me.
My 22 year old daughter says she will not see a doctor her own age ever. Because she will never know why they got into medical and how they made it through. DEI is sick and insane
My endocrinologist, who is Asian, taught at Standford. He had to "pass" a black student who failed his course as he would be determined to be racist if he didn't pass the black student.

I've had so many bad doctors. Greek-American, Russian, Indian, Greek-Orthodox, Black, Asian, Jewish, White, etc.
The only good doctors I had were Asians, and that had less to do with the doctor and more to do with the facility. They were the only clinic that gave me an allergy test on my bloodwork.
The actual doctoring? Everyone sucked.
I fully think it's the clinics i had access to from my insurance.

The only thing we need to know is where in his/her class the doctor graduated. ALWAYS REMEMBER: 50% of doctors graduate in the bottom 50% of their class. But nobody has access to that information. If we did, we could choose the best ones, like top 25%. Do you know what they call a doctor who graduates last in his class? DOCTOR.
Another thing that is controversial is that They made boards pass/fail. It used to be scored and those scored higher got better position but they are moving it to pass/fail

I don’t know where Bernie gets his healthcare. But for 33 years working in a Surgical ICU, I worked with many outstanding doctors of every color and gender.
But I also worked with a few mediocre to bordering on incompetent doctors of every color and gender too.
This was pre DEI, too.
I haven't had a "white" doctor in over 10 years.
A female African-American doctor misdiagnosed me when I was horribly sick. I went home with the off the shelf antacids she had written down as a prescription and suffered for another two weeks.
I went back to the clinic and saw an Asian-American doc -- also a woman -- who immediately caught what was wrong with exactly the same info I had told the black doctor.
I’d be embarrassed if I was from Vermont.

The last black doctor I saw I couldn't tell if he was good or not. He was a doc in a box. They took blood 2 days before to determine an issue. Then when I came back in they wanted more as they threw it out? I said you just took a bunch... Oh, I get it, money. I just took my prescriptions and left.

Bernie could actually contribute to diversity by just leaving his position to someone more diverse. He's ok with diversity when he doesnt have something to lose just like he's ok with taking other people's money just not his.
That's how they all operate......diversity .....but only AFTER they personally have acquired their own permanent position of power/entitlement......and then need to over-compensate for their shamelessly self-serving selves ......to feed their faux-guilt ego more than their lacking conscience. It also future-prevents others from being able to umm 'achieve' what they did once the self-convenient wall has been built (around themselves mostly and at the expense of others).
When I was active duty, I had major lung surgery on both lungs a few years apart. The first surgeon was an older white guy. I now receive disability as a result of that surgery. The second surgery was done by a younger black guy. I was out of the hospital in 3 days and doing good. The first surgeon had me in the hospital for almost two weeks and I thought I was going to die. My point is, it doesn't matter what they are but how good are they. I now always ask, are you any good at your job? If it upsets them, then I know they take pride in their work.
I'm a retired OB/Gyn after 42 years of practice and what racist-inclined people don't get is that even though there are times we care for patients we don't particularly like or admire, our care is based on who we are, our level of competence and skll and doesn't have anything to do with who the patient is or isn't. In 42 years of practice, I never saw an incident where a person was given a different level of care by a physician or staff based on who he/she was.
What the heck? My wife was just in the hospital for a month and almost every doctor on my wife’s case was from India. Which is fine, but just saying there are plenty of non white doctors.
I am a white male and am getting tired of being discriminated against. Nobody ever gave me a break in school, job, taxes promotions etc. Why am I feeling that the system is rigged against me? I use a black accountant, a Female doctor and a Middle East -Syrian Neuro-Surgeon. All have been in business for over 20 years and got their on Merritt. What is wrong with Merritt based Professionals. I do not want a Surgeon that is there because of Identity Group! Discrimination was gone until Obama reared his ugly head and resurrected it.

I'm watching this from my hospital bed. Just spoke to my specialist who is not white. Was referred to him by my doctor who is not white either. I don't see that I would have better outcomes if their skin colour matched mine. I am just grateful they are both competent professionals.
