I'm not yet into clearing 18s, but I love this stepchart, especially the moment at 1:37 where it transitions 24ths to 16ths, to 12ths, then to 8ths.
I just can't stop replaying that part it's just so satisfying not only in the ears but also to the eyes.

I saw a few comments elsewhere about this being a very easy 18. Those 24th bursts are equivalent to 16th notes at 229.5 BPM
It def reads as a good "gateway 18". I wouldn't say "easy" because it IS an 18, but still a good gateway for those who've been looking for a way in. This chart would be a good first 18 candidate if you are particularly someone who enjoys shuffled type rhythms.
right?? who are these people that can whip out long 230 bpm drills like its nothing?? i dont understand whos passing this and not like half the 18 folder. if youre breaking into 18s you should be playing like suspicions or something, not THIS

@neferazure you're better off playing more than half of the 18s folder as your first 18 rather than this one. This is definitely not on the easier side of 18s
@@neferazure A gateway 18 isn't something you'd go into and get a C- on because the timings murder you.

@@neferazurethere are no Teal or Orange colored notes in the chart on arcade, they’re also Green. The quantizations are correct here but yuisin has been using a custom color palette similar to what ITG players have been using to denote 24ths and 32nds as different colors to help differentiate the rhythms.
@@ddrchadorange, no, but def the greens and the blues are in there.
Either way, Yuisin typically will further color-code notes to a fine point to make it easier to remember when you go to play at the arcade. Even the freezes.
Although I do wish Konami would color-code the freezes too if a player has it set to "note". 🤔 One can dream, I guess. 😅

And holy crap did KONAMI go all out. I should hate this, but no! Every single step is just SEAMLESS!

Not gonna lie, this feels like the boss battle evolving from swing songs like ChuChuMachuPicchu, Cosmic Skater, Deadball de Homerun, StrayedCatz, etc.
It is not swing rhythm, it's a shuffled House rhythm. Examples of Shuffled House Rhythm songs are F4SH10N, Crazy Shuffle (even has it in the title in this instance), Go Down, insist, Tribe, Midnight Amaretto, etc. These charts each tend to play around with blue, green, teal, and yellow notes.
Charts that use swing rhythms would include songs such as Burning Heat, VANESSA, Bitter Chocolate Striker, Bridal Festival, chaplet, etc. You won't really see any stacked blue or teal notes making an appearance in those charts.
Strictly red and green and very clearly triplet and classic galloping throughout.

Something I do like about the challenge charts, are that they chose to lean HEAVILY into the shuffled rhythm that the Expert charts should have done in the first place. I think this is also the first time I've seen a lv. 18 shuffled rhythm chart. Before that, the highest I'd seen was maybe a 15 or 16, with a vast amount of them being 13s or 14s (take charts like Crazy Shuffle, F4SH10N or insist, for example).
Also, I could see this chart being a gateway into lv. 18s for those who may be looking for a way "in", if 18s have seemed somewhat distant in the past. I'm not going to say it's "free" because it's definitely not, but def a good gateway to be within one of your first 5 clears or so. Keep in mind I'm specifically speaking on going for the clear.

See THAT’S how you make a good 18 for a song that DESERVES it! Fuck outta here with that Reiwa, Crazy Love, and Unbelievable nonsense, not to mention that disorganized mess of a New Era chart!
New Era is absolutely not a disorganized mess and is one of the better Golden League Challenge charts we got. Unbelievable and Crazy Love are also good 18s.

Get good. This chart is amazing.
I wouldn't call it "bloody awful", but I agree that this song really did not warrant an 18, especially when Camellia made this song to be a relaxing tune.
Really think a 16 would've been just fine for it, or even a 17 if they really wanted to need to go a bit further. Seeing an 18 here feels really off for this song, especially when the song gives off much more chill, relaxing vibes compared to GL songs like Alpacore or Muteki Buffalo.
It's like Reiwa all over again, but at least this one has more manageable step patterns.
