This guy sounds full of himself. It’s 100% up to the person themselves to change their own life. Yeah he might be helping them along the way, that is true. However, it is completely up to the individual to make the decision to change their life, be accountable, be consistent & work hard. My former martial arts school/fitness center charged me a total of $143 for UNLIMITED classes & my gym now charges me $129 for unlimited classes & full access to the gym for my own workouts. This guy sounds a little too narcissistic for my liking. He needs to be humble.

Trainers were great, even had Toby Imada as a coach - the guy who choked out Jorge Masvidal with a inverted triangle choke.

I go to an mma gym at the moment and They have 4 classes, mma, Muay Thai, and boxing and gi/no gi jiujitsu with a fundamentals class twice a week.
For EVERY class there’s a technique, for example, 1,2,3 low kick and the partner exchanges the same punch. Or one person jabs and the other defends.
Then we go to a light spar or one doing offense and one doing defense. I don’t feel like their focused on development, but more so having people “feel” like their “fighters” for the day.
Would this be worth staying at or finding a different place.

You need to find a hole in the wall gym, or like an American top team style gym. Hole in the walls are where grit and mentality develop. Big box gyms are where alot of refinement happens (especially on the fight team) ive done both. Developed my mentality in a small space with tough pros and then my skills went through the roof after making the fight team at a major gym.

Honest question here…I’m opening my own Boxing and MMA training center here in TX. Back when I was still fighting I was primarily training on the west coast mostly in San Diego, all the big name gyms and everything else in between. Luckily I never had to pay for training throughout my career so price point is lost on me. What would you folks consider good value so that you don’t feel you’re priced out of the sport as far as memberships are concerned?
What value is it your hoping to obtain at the price point you have in mind? What do y’all feel should and shouldn’t be included in the referenced price point?

Multiple time world IBJJF champion charging a quarter of that less? Easy choice. Really you could just spend a lot more and fly out to Thailand. Then they’ll say “this training is worth 10 million dollars k thnx”. Then you goto buy some water “This water is the best water, 10,000 dollars.” If anything I’m VERY skeptical of people who charge too much.
