Daily Recap May 17th 2024

Victoria said last night Jer didn’t rest well, but a little better from nights before. I was knocked out.. His secretions were also quite abundant this morning. His doctor actually called and wants us to start him on an iron supplement tomorrow because of his recent lab numbers. His liver numbers are also off, but most of the time they are because of his mitochondrial disease.
I woke him up with pretend sword fighting just to be different. He didn’t want to brush his teeth and didn’t want me to wash his hair either. He spent time in his walker, we sat outside to watch birds and then I was able to comb his hair. We spent time at the table doing letters and also using his device. His treat at the end of the day was music therapy. I pulled out his big boy keyboard and let him play freely. Ofcourse he isn’t ready for bed..
Today we pray that you never take for granted the freedom that God has given you to play your own life’s story. May we sometimes pause and do things differently allowing us to make memories and simply have fun. May we never forget that God is good yesterday, today, tomorrow and forevermore.
