I love her work so much! I remember I was absolutely obsessed with Yae's Sakura. When the US switched Television to the DTV format, the DTV box (and TVs with it built in) had extra channels and for awhile I had access to UTB a channel that broadcasts Japanese shows, most notably Taiga Dramas. I greatly admired Haruka Ayase's authenticity and stage combat in the role. As a history enthusiast, I also learned about Niijima Yae prolific life.
This woman is an icon, and I adore her!!
