I no longer feel as bad knowing someone has missed _four_ mates in one.
Youve too
@YeaMan i once missed four different mate in ones for multiple moves.(woulda been funny if it actually were 4moves)
I am glad you are feeling better Kuroki
I once missed the same best move for 10 or something moves. French def fellas, dont forget to move f6 when you feel that position is becoming to be dead locked 😔
I were on a quest to get to 100 elo in rapid. You can't imagine how many people missed to checkmate me with 6 queens

This game was fascinating to me considering how relatable it is. Sometimes I do really good in games, feel confident, sometimes even arrogant. What happens at the end? Great stare this time. The head posture was interesting and varied from what we have come to expect. The length in my opinion was great, but i feel drawing it out longer could have lead to a more profound effect on the audience 8.9/10
I'm gonna print a series of screenshots with Levy's stare and use them as wallpaper in my room. This will motivate me to play better.
I love how Levy started mocking himself by yelling sugary cereal, he always makes his videos at some point funny for a moment.
I once got a stalemate with 4 queens just because I wanted to grow the queen count up to 5. Turns out, it's really easy to get a stalemate when you're trying to meme with queens.
Hey levy ❤️ you are the best chess teacher, hands down🤲🏻 i started following you in September and purchased 2 of your courses , the vienna gambit and the new middle game master class, i went from 621 rating to 1400!! ❤️❤️ thank you so much

Levy's gonna pop his top one day. The stress of watching all those missed mates 😅
I think we should all appreciate how beautiful that stalemate is. I don't think I have ever seen a board with two queens stalemating a king from across the board.
I went from 700 elo to 1200 elo in 2 months watching your videos, thank you for your content. 🙏
Missing the mate in one with the pawn, I get it - I've done that. But seeing the rook mate in ones missed TWICE was just cringe.
Edit: nearly died laughing at Levy's description of white's tunnel vision, being like a kid who wants that candy (rook)...
Then Levy's expression at the end when white stalemates is priceless, icing on the cake.
Sugar Syrup on the queen
"You have mate in one on the board, but you really want the rook" was such a perfect descriptor of my experience playing chess, it's embarrassing
Just wanted to say thank you for all the videos! Been watching your daily uploads ever since the first day of this year and I definitely blundered a lot less and saw a lot more things when I played my friend today. (Yes I'm a beginner) Looking forward to your future uploads!
"Alexander is the kangaroo, and Ferc is the swedish meatballs, which are *also* very tasty." Gotham eats kangaroos confirmed.
Nice ending. An obvious mistake but I kind of understand it, It's kind of hard to see how few legal moves opponent has when your high-value pieces are not close to his king. I have seen the inability to see ladder mate in many videos now which I find weird. That's about first thing I learned about how to mate opponent and probably one of the easiest if not the easiest.
I lol'd twice... the sugary cereal whine and the ending. You're so funny, Levy!
this has probably happened to every chess player at least once
you know you're winning so you try to have some fun and promote all the pawns you have and then accidentally stalemate
Regarding the cheating consideration, it’s interesting that Levy went from suspicious to unsuspicious. I felt the opposite. At first I thought he wasn’t cheating, but then after seeing how terrible white’s play was compared to how he was playing earlier in the game, I became suspicious as this is consistent with cheating to gain an advantage and then finishing the game without assistance.
I don't think he's cheating. Just trying to intentionally prolong the game and get as many queens as possible in the rare game he actually managed to win. (source: been there done that, and yes the stalemate also)
I didn't think there was anything spectacular about the play in the opening and middle - perhaps above average for their rating. To me the cheating insinuations feel like trying to squeeze out more views!
Its certainly possible to play at 90% accuracy at 1000 elo but also do incredible blunders from time to time.
I love when levy busts cheaters, it's amazing content.

Black knew exactly where to put his king, brilliant move
The knight D2 I entirely agree. I feel like bishop takes pawn D5 is the only correct move. It trades bishops and at the same time puts pressure on his castle.
If Levy would look at me for a second with that stare in a middle of a chess game, I would immediately blunder my queen
Came for the stare, stayed for the content
This feels like watching my classmate playing against martin and failing at the end
bro same. I played that one game recently and i played some guy like a kid. In the end game i had 2 queens and a rook (and a king lol) and he only had his king. Instead of mating him in 1 like 69 times i had an opportunity to, I decided to push all my pieces right to the edge of the board and deliver the nicest looking triple ladder mate ever. And then i stalemated by accident right before the final move.
I regret nothing, style is worth more than elo

Beginning stare is not that deadly
However, that ending stare is vicious, scary and so disturbing that I thought I was paused for a split second there
I think the hardest concept for a person 1000 and below to learn is purposefully losing pieces, but it does help a lot to learn when to make bad trades while up material to simplify and avoid stalemate. Like two rooks and a pawn vs a bishop, trade the rook for a bishop and make a queen rather than try checkmate with two rooks and accidentally lose one and draw the game
This is actually a great introduction to good planning.
Levy's stare was short, but concentrated. His stare sent shivers down my spine as my heartbeat started pumping faster and harder.
It was as if he was trying to see into my soul and uncover my deepest fears. The intensity of his gaze was almost unbearable and I couldn't help but feel a sense of vulnerability under his scrutiny. It was a very unsettling experience.
I couldn't shake off the feeling of being exposed and vulnerable even after he looked away. The power and intensity of his stare was something that I had never experienced before. It was as if he had a hidden agenda and was trying to extract information from me without saying a word. I couldn't help but wonder what was going through his mind during that moment. The experience left me feeling uneasy and on edge. A solid 9 out of 10

Man, I wonder which modified Mittens version would be more annoying - the one which allows you to get +3:+6 points of material advantage and then crushes you or the one that continues to "miss" mates in 1,2,3 at the very end prolonging your struggle.
When we were kids we used to play chess like, king can be captured only if you are out of all pieces..
Those times were such fun.
Levy's face at the end of this video is priceless

Getting stalemated is such a pain in the a$$. I never promote to queen in such a situation
Being a 500 ranked player. The number of times it's only been my king on the board and I've been stalemated is astonishing. Had a dude being super disrespectful and made 6 queens with only my king left, just to stalemate me.
When you're focused on one thing you forget about the other thing.
the sugary cereal killed me LMFAO
13:00 ´´oh is check... oh nervermind´´... so, freaking, RELATABLE!
“It is an accomplishment to have a worse position in 4 moves of chess.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Most likely 2 friends playing on one phone in school. The friend that actually knows how to play played the first part of the game and left the ending for the other.
Well I just had a similarly bad game at half the elo and was on the "getting trounced until my opponent drew on his own when he stalemates with a rook move that, one square more square in the same direction, would have won" side
I knew it was going to end in a stalemate, when they're so bad at mating, it's always a stalemate.
When someone has milllions of pieces agains a single king, you know it smells a cruel stalemate.
I kinda wonder if Ferc wasn't actually trying to get checkmate - and were instead "playing with their food", so to speak. It feels more behaviourally plausible to me than using a bot for some of the time and then deciding to stop using it towards the end, for example. And would explain why they suddenly played so much worse at the end...
Also, that ending is why, in endgames, I often prefer to create a Rook than a Queen. "Simpler" to keep track of what spaces it attacks, less risk of accidentally stalemating.
Hahahaha Tha final silence... I want my "Get out of here"
White reminds me of when I first started playing chess…good opening and middle game but I had terrible anxiety during end games and suddenly couldn’t see the board for shit lol
My video started on pause and I had Gotham staring into my soul for a good 10 seconds before I realised it was just paused.
bro was so speechless he didnt even do an ending
You know it's serious when the video doesn't end off with "Get outta here"
that endgame was painful to watch
That stalemate hurt me internally
I think white was just playing around at the end and was seeing how much they could capture, and accidentally got a stalemate instead of checkmate.
i stalemated a queen and king endgame 2 days ago and this makes me feel better
quick tip if you wanna BM: move your powerful pieces behind your own weaker pieces to block line to sight, so you dont stalemate
i think the guy used all of his mental energy in the midgame and then said, i cant do this no more so he drew

when you miss mate in one so you play stalemate in one instead
I did exactly the same as white today (stalemate after dominating my opponent) but in my defense, I'm 550 and have only been playing for 3 weeks - I would expect better from a 1000 player.
I did the same thing today as well LOL (level 400)
Do what Ferc should have done. Give away all pieces but the queen and deliver a king queen mate
