Of all the lost 1970's shows, this is my personal favorite.
Patrick did excellent. 😀👍
I wasn't even born when it aired!! This is a rare treat!!!
Don Rickles' deodorant spray can was stuck, he held it at eye level and said "YOU HOCKEY PUCK!"
Nipsey and Lee were panelists on Masquerade Party with host Richard Dawson
Better one show than no show on this series.
As good as this show would be if it were to come back, the celebrities they'd use today couldn't do this...
The theme music sounds like a Muzak version of the Amboy Dukes "Journey To The Center Of The Mind"..
This theme song sounds like 'journey to the center of the mind' by amboy dukes!! LOL
Mona Lisa is smiling, and the reason could be.... she's got a lover at two and two lovers at three.
The closing theme music sounds so familiar...
The end theme is a version of Amboy Dukes "Journey to the Center of the Mind"
Nipsey Russell
This game was made for Nipsy.
Lee Meriwether is such a stunning beauty.
Its obvious the celebrities are given rhyming phrases in advance. They look down and read them
@gmwcfhg : Yes, it is, and the group is the AMBOY Dukes.
There was another episode which is the series finale of “Rhyme & Reason” where the entire set was completely destroyed, but thankfully, a user named “epaddon” has posted this one, but sadly, this was in audio only, but there is no video of the final show since it’s completely lost. Take a listen. czcams.com/video/d8EYugdZdNo/video.html
Mona Lisa is smiling and the reason could be, once she was blind but now she could see.
mona Lisa was smiling and the reason could be....
Da Vinci doesn't know she used to be a he
ROFL!
I think I recognized the theme song at the end of the show - its Journey to the Center of the Mind by Asbury Dukes (Ted Nugent's old band)
Wish I could find the episode I was on. I was on this show in 1975. Lost to the lady, but got all the booby prizes, including cases of Creamettes, Aunt Janes Pickles, and a little TV set for the kitchen counter. My wide Karen and I were eating pasta and pickles for months. I wish someone had saved these tapes. I understand most were destroyed. Oh, well.
Mona Lisa was smiling and the reason could be she was thinking of someone
That someone was me
Anyone notice when the front game was won, you heard the grand prize win cue from a show Bob used to host--something called "The Newlywed Game"
Avocado.
the Don Rickles' one was a GREAT setup, he is FAMOUS for calling people "hockey puck's" so when the question was- Don Rickles' deodorant spray can was STUCK,- the next line should have had hockey PUCK in it. Even Nipsey said it before they moved on.
Hey, JustinInAtlanta. When are you uploading more videos..?
2:46 - best face ever
Oh, I got one...
"'Everybody needs milk,' the ad tells us that, don't get a big head, or it won't fit in your hat."
When this show was cancelled, the celebrities demolished the set. I didn't know what I was seeing. I want to say Mitzi McCall was on there. Richard Dawson may have been as well, not sure tho.
WTN Productions in association with and distributed by Sony Pictures Television.
Now known as Sony Pictures Television Studios.
Mona Lisa is smiling, and the reason could be, everytime someone sees her, they pay a fee.
Patrick, the contestant was hot!!!
And Jack Cassidy seemed to agree. He all but mauled the poor guy at the end.
@THETICK36 he said "what about schmuck and hockey puck?"
Answer now!
Mona Lisa was smiling and the reason could be
She no longer could hold it and she peed on her knee
JTTCOTM?
Epic fail with the tape. At least we saw most of the action in Bonus Land. :)
Jack Cassidy was bi-sexual. Clearly making this man uneasy at the end of the show.
Jack Cassidy was married to actress Shirley Jones at the time.
From what I've heard, I think it actually was adapted from JTTCOTM.
Hilliarious And Funny!! "Rhyme And Reason" was a fun game show that did air on ABC Television for a brief time in the 1975-1976 Era. A Funny 5!! The show would have been more amusing with the likes of Sean Connery and Ray Danton back in those days. Well Done!!
Don Rickles' deodorant spray can was stuck... so he conned a roll-on from a guy with a truck.
What are the rules
Don Rickles deodorant spray can was stuck. After all what do you expect from a hockey puck
