Problem with South Africans who are puppets of mainstream media, don't listen to Gogo objectively, coz he criticized Cyril, and he has a history in KZN, so once you're like that, automatically you're Zuma's faction, and it is all about ethnicity to them! As horrible as Cyril is, a KZN person can't criticize him! And I always say, you can't subjective in away you consume information, and then claim to be intelligent or smart, instead you're as good as someone who's always half informed, and propagandic informed mostly

uGogo Matshiqi is a great Historian & Leader, he did not just read about these events he has a LIVED experience in this South African system of oppression. Wow! I can listen to him all day. He literally spoke about so many theories that I myself have been pondering alone. My highlights were the Neo Liberal system that the ANC adopted after '94 , the now leaders only see us the people on the ground as objects and ('voting cattle' in a sense), and the ANC has been infiltrated as an organisation, due to its nature of being led by some individuals who were cherry picked to carry on the status quo of Neo-Liberalism & Neo-Colonialism.
Wow! Keep up the good work Dr Mpofu-Walsh👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

I agree with him fully, in fact it is an argument I also make to anybody who cares to listen, that there is no appropriate time than now where we need black consciousness. We would certainly not have this vast poverty, corruption, greed ....if we embraced black consciousness' ideology or philosophy. Please ask him about the difference between brown and black in reference to Africans [ngikhule kuthiwa singabantu abansundu]. how and when did we adopt black [mnyama] instead of brown [nsundu] as color. I was in the Free State yesterday at the Town called Lindley to be specific and this what I notice:
    1. The decay and dilapidation of of that town - the shops, tar roads I mean the economy degradation
    2. High level of intoxicating (alcohol, drugs) are slowly but surely kill the small and quite town
    On the other hand,
1.Social genetic - mostly are church goers, spiritual leaders from all walks of life
    2. The cars mostly affluent they drive are highly expensive
    3. The types of houses build by the affluent are ostensibly beautiful
Why not at least revitalise the local economy as affluent - create jobs and absorb the unemployed reduce the level of drug and alcoholism.

Who among the present ANC members fought for Liberation? Even the leading Thumamina Phala Phala guy, I don't remember him during the Apartheid years being among the fighters, he only appeared when Mr. Mandela was released from prison. Was he deployed by the WMC to do what he is doing today? As South Africans , we have lost everything under the current ANC .

Thank you for this; I respect uGogo Matshiqi. Something I found interesting while listening was his discussion of the ANC being infiltrated and serving 'outside masters.' This notion is common among his generation and is frequently discussed. In response to this, I'd like to make the following point: infiltration is a tactic of war. Did the liberation movements not also use infiltration to combat the colonial and apartheid state? If they didn't, why do we keep mentioning it? And if they were indeed infiltrated, what actions did they take to address it?
Also,, I struggle with the idea that progressive thinking africans are somehow sell-outs; with phantom handlers. The conservative African is no more African than his progressive counterpart.

The individualism mindset is one of the problems we have in the world. We think if one person can succeed there are no problems in the world.

I remember his last interview when he predicted that there will be lots of fires after the parliament fire. Like his independent mind as compared to prepaid analysis from the likes of Mashele, Ndletyana etc

Water is life and fire is death. We're seeing drought in big cities, which water has been replaced by fires left right and centre.
A child had died which is humanity. A new child was born, which is capitalism...so sad😂

Very interesting and informative perspective from Mkhulu Matshiqi. It would be even better to hear his views on tbe metamorphosis of SA from constitutional democracy to Neocolonialism as defined by Kwame Nkrumah in his book 'Neocolonialism. The Last Stage of Imperialism'
