Huge win from the chiefs yesterday. Really great game. Feyi-waboso is the Exeter chief. Slade has excellent too.

Slade has to be on the shortlist for players of the season.

This Northampton win makes Leinster look much better. Saints are a cracking team and has revived the rugby game in England

Slade is a fantastic club player and not bad when England forwards dominate, but when we play physical international teams in tight games he vanishes. How would he compare to fellow international 13's? Slade vs Fickou? Fickou. Slade vs Ioane? Ioane. Slade vs Ringrose? Ringrose. Slade vs Kriel? Kriel. Slade vs Menoncello? Menoncello. Slade vs Huw Jones? Jones........ etc.

He was the best 13 statistically in the six nations even better than brex which i was surprised about. But as seen by the World Cup/ last six nations if we don’t have him our defence is a lot less organised with loads of mini breaks conceded when we player Ireland last year through the 13 channel. He offers so much off the ball that I think he might be our most important player atm. He might not be as flashy as others but the way he defends and manages an attack IS world class. Plus having him in the squad allows new players to be taught how to manage like him adding to explosive power like freeman. Having a 13 like freeman with slades awareness will be a scary prospect.

I agree, a great premiership player but struggles to reproduce at international level.
I'd rather have those players you've put up than slade at international level all day long.

Feels like sale v sarries is super super key to who sneaks into the top 4

Thankfully that is Sarries v Sale, and we are better at home🤞

As a Quins fan I thoroughly enjoyed our European adventure but I did worry that it would impact our play off hopes. Chiefs were excellent on Saturday but I can't help but think that we ran out of puff in the second half.
On another note I think Newcastle v Gloucester could be huge for the former as it offers them a genuine chance to grab a victory this season - especially if Glous are putting out their under 10s again.

Yep not enough time to recover after playing such an intense n physically n mentally huge game v toulouse only 6 days Pryor.
Even Rob baxter said it was ridiculous for harlequins and he's the exeter coach

Tim, if Saracens get a bonus point win and Northampton only get a bonus point then Saracens would be top on points difference.

Slades a damn good player , he does it in premiership but struggles at international level imo. Great premiership player but average international.

Huge decision for Sarries and Northampton on whether they put out their first team or rest players. If Bath get any points, even losing bonus they're in the top 4.

As a Bath fan I think that Northampton are going to beat us at home. I was watching that game v Newcastle on Friday night and for the life of me I did not see a dangerous team on that pitch. Sure we got 4 tries but in all honesty I think that was more because of the falcons gifting us opportunities. Something that once they stopped doing, we didn't score a single point after! Not one single point in a whole 40 minutes of rugby against the bottom team. I don't see us doing very much against a much more clinical and well-trained side such as Northampton. Would absolutely love to be proved wrong tho!

well said. they were in 3rd gear 1st half . The falcons pack showed up and bath didnt in 2nd.

as a Saints fan I'm taking nothing for granted, Bath are a different kettle of fish at the Rec. I'll be down there and very much looking forward to seeing two unreal backlines throw the ball around!

For Northampton, 1 BP doesn’t cement finishing top, cuz if Sarries get a BP win, they’ll be on same points and same wins, then it goes down to Points difference which Sarries have better

    • @jr1734
      @jr1734 Před 27 dny

    • @jamesknight4508

@@jr1734 correct but I’m saying if Northampton lose and get 1 losing BP and Sarries get BP win, then they finish top

Does it really matter if Northampton come first or second? Either way they play a home semi right ?

Tim can you do a fantasy best prem 15 after the next game or maybe better to do after the final ? Would be interesting to see how it compares to the England team currently as well

  • @JohnRidley12

Amazing play by Exeter, but I felt for Quins. Just seemed to hit a wall after Toulouse. They also need to sort out their defence. It's not just that they are attacking (like Bristol) their defensive organization is just woeful.
Rob Baxter is amazing. The RFU should pay him whatever to help the game more widely (if he'd ever take the time away from Exeter).
Also, looking at the table, how many of those sides don't play good attacking rugby?
    Tigers
Falcons (although they try to, just awful)
I don't know what to make of Glous.
Other than that, only Sale aren't a real attacking team now. Times have certainly changed in the prem.
